Do you use matte paint chips?

If you put Black Cherry with a black interior I will personally report you to the Pontiac club folks:lol:

I won't argue with you there, but when I watch the auctions on TV and a '69 or '70 (especially in white) comes up....:O
so sorry, excuse me again:cheers:

But black cherry looks awesome! But nah, I think I'll do matte black with the tan one, and matte white with the black one.

69s can go for much more money than a 77, unless it's the 77.

And don't worry about it, we're still talking about paint! :p.

Apply that Black Cherry to your tan interior and you'll never want to take it off!

Trust me, you don't have to tell me about The Bandit:lol: I have about 8 movies in my personal collection that can get rerun for the 1,000th time at any moment:
Smokey and the Bandit (This is also my 21-year-old kid's favorite movie...think that happened on it's own?)
Smokey and the Bandit II
American Graffiti
Animal House
Pulp Fiction
Tarantino's and Rodriguez's Grind House
Ghost Rider
Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid

I've only ever watched the first bandit. When I was like, nine. I actually need to check if The Pirate Bay Netflix (:p) has them both.

Here's a tip for matte chips: They look horrendus on hot hatches, and at ssr7.

Only as an "add" to your DVD queue.

I don't know 'bout that....I used a Focus ST on one of my grinds, so have it in Nero....pretty sweet. I'll have to check on others I've done that to. I've done The 'Ring in the Megane Trophy and I'll admit it's still some god-awful shiny yellow, so obviously matte wasn't working for me there.
What does SSR7 have to do with anything?

Ssr7 has those ugly green lights, makes matte black look like complete crap. And my focus looks alright, but nowhere near as cool as some others.

Lighting, gotchya:tup:. Well as far as that goes, at least with Nero, for those who like "action" shots, better take your photos on the first lap, and before any rain:lol:.

I prefer to photograph classic muscle. And, these are not off-topic at all, because this is my matte black trans am!

This is going to be the album cover for my nonexistent bands first album.

These next ones I just wanted to share.

Nice pics, but I'm confused. Your TA has no "Pontiac" decal on the rear above the RR tail lamp, but has a TA decal over the LF headlamp. Is that edited? I could swear the only treatments like that on mine are "Pontiac" decals front and rear, and only on the Special Editions.
And is it just me, or did PD make the pebbles in the vinyl roof of the Challengers a bit large?
And I'm chuffed that PD STILL hasn't fixed the glitch wherein if you add aero to a Mach1 your paint job has an eternal white-ish stripe at the bottom. Grrr PD.

Nothing is edited, maybe the wing took it off?

They did make them too big, I noticed that.

No aero on my Mach 1,and there will be none, thanks for the heads up.

Solved: Anything but the original spoiler or Custom Wing B loses the rear graphics.👍

The Mach1 was my favorite paint job to play with in GT5, so that was one of my first stops in 6. And as I likes my aero, the painting has been taken away (for now). Grrrr PD.

I'll have to make sure to not remove the rear graphics on the tan one I buy 👍.

And what makes it so fun to mess around with?

👍. Don't like the big'ol Superbird wing?

EDIT: I almost forgot....the front decal was totally my mistake. I don't know why I thought it said "Pontiac" over the headlamp. And here I was thinking I was paying attention!

Painting the Mach1? Modern looks with Pearl paints, getting the stripe contrast "perfect", many wheels make the car look outstanding with different paint....about the same as with the TA:lol:

Although now, of course, I must dedicate some time to going through all the "detailed" cars to see which ones change interiors!:lol:

You should make a list, it would be interesting.

And I didn't want to mess up my wheels on My TA, they're so golden and shiny.

So finally GT6 will have a purpose in my life:lol:

I know, I've only done the wheels on the one I won Nurburgring24 with (car: Nero; wheels: NASCAR type-Gold of course) but I HAVE to see if some of those sportier rims make a difference. The Snow Flakes are nice....but a little....well....fancy:lol:. In Matte Dark Red, that's supposed to be a bruiser....can't be fancy in a bruiser:lol:

It's purpose for me is letting me have all the cars I'll never get in real life .

I'm going to try my 600pp Trans Am in there. Does it need to pit? What tires did you use?

Well, we should probably take this back on topic before mods catch wind :p. We can continue with PMs. I'm going to edit the title to "Opinions on matte paint chips", since I use them myself, and know the appeal of them 👍.

I mentioned Matte Dark Red up^^^^there:).
And my Nero Nemesis TA took Nurb with one pit after lap 1 on RH tires. That was when everyone was still discussing the efficacy of rain tires, so that's where I got that. Haven't tried it yet again with RS (which has become my MO since then without a failure), so I don't know if it'll last the third lap without a bad case of the spins:lol: But unless you're a super tuner, I highly recommend TC2, ABS1, and SRF (for the rainy night in the woods:lol:).
I need to wander off a bit and get some things cleaned and straightened and such, before my family thinks I've quit:lol:
Got sunshine here for the first time since Sunday, so it's actually a rather bright day! Would look very nice indeed with my Matte Grey TA w/black interior in the driveway! See, I can bring it back to paint every time:lol::cheers:

 alright. My TA is on sports softs, doubt it would last the three laps. I should try to make a RH tune sometime. I'd like to beat a McLaren in a vintage muscle car .

Take every advantage you can get. It's fun, but I can personally attest that that matte paint job will NOT make you faster:lol: I actually did it out of spite, just punishing the AI with a car I'm pretty sure was placed in GT6 almost as a joke. I do believe, per previous posts here, that my Nero helped to confuse the Super GTs and LMPs and DTMs long enough to allow me the win:lol:👍

Make sure you practice in Test Drive before going there. In the dry, with whatever aids you plan to use, you'll want to tune every last bit of sway out of that car before taking it to a "rain" race. And you can go back to the practice replay for great daytime shots of your choice of matte against the bright German countryside.👍

And how exactly does that relate to your appreciation of matte paints?

:lol::lol::crazy::lol:
If it MATTE-rs, I have all the AE matte paints, all the seasonal chips, and all the mattes available to purchase in game. Yet the only matte chip I've used is Nero Nemesis. I guess I need to play around a little more, but I prefer the deeper finishes like Barolo Black (Range Rover).

The thing that hooked me about mattes, Jbaffoh, was I got to thinking about the cars as "projects". As if that dull grey or red or black Mustang in the garage was "unfinished". Nero, of course, has it's own special quality that would make a guy on the street look and say: "Hmmmm...maybe that IS finished! Nice."

Dagger, that's almost cheating:lol: Commit! Paint it!

I'm getting ready to play some more. School gave me today and tomorrow off, I hurt my ankle running the track yesterday, so they let me off the rest of the week. Going to mess with some cars. I'll upload pictures.

Hope you're feeling better! And why was I thinking you were "old" and retired like me?
ADD THE NOVA!!!! :banghead: I think I was so bummed about the '69 Camaro Z28 not making the interior list I missed this one.

I would do truly quite questionable things for Mr.Kaz if he'd seen fit to allow a Nero Nemesis Z28 with a buttery leather or bright red or even stunning white interior!

I' ve not done the list yet. I'll be sure to mention you in it 👍. I'm too lazy to check them.:pMaybe tonight. :p

Anyway, thought I posted my GT-R photoshoot...
