Opinions on the Bentley Speed 8 please?

As the title suggests, I don't want to spend millions on the Bentley, only to find it's naff.

If you have any other suggestions then I would be happy to hear them, especially your opinions on the Jag XJR9 which I'm also considering buying, although I'm not particularly interested in the Sauber C9 or the Nissan.

I hope you do find it, I have less than 1mill at the moment so I hope it doesn't come up for me!

I just need to find out whether it is worth the vast amount of money
 
Recently I had 10 mil in the bank and the Bently finally came up . . . right below the Diablo LMS (or is it GT) car. I bought the Bently and left the other one as I already ahve one.

And what are your thoughts on the Bentley?
 
I now have every Le Mans car in the game, and after som tuning and detuning (down to 700 pp for the new seasonals) I can report that the Bentley is the fastest of the lot. T. GT - One has the fastet straigth line speed.
 
The Jaguar XJR-9 is is the worst piece of ...... it's not in the same class as the other LMPs and group Cs.

The Bentley is a stabile and good, fast LMP. Don't get tricked by its low power, it's great. And looks better than all the others IMO.

The best cars in this class are: (prioritized)

Audi R8 '01
Toyota GT-ONE
Sauber C9 1000bhp+
Toyota MINOLTA 1000bhp+
Nissan R89C 1000bhp+
Nissan R92CP 1000bhp+
Peugeot 908
Mazda 787B

Do you get the Audi from the Nurb 4hrs? I have the 908, 787 and Minolta. A friend has the C9 so I can use that whenever, and the Nissans just don't take my fancy :)

By the way, thanks to everyone who replied, now all I have to do is save up for it :/
 
No you don't, that's the Audi R8 LMS Race Car you win. There's a reason I put the '01 behind its name.

It costs 4.5 mil, I think. Comes in two liveries, red and yellow (#1 and #2).

Oh right, I knew you won an R8, I just wasn't sure if it was the prototype or the gt car.

I shall pursue it after my Bentley - I've heard the R8 is awesome
 
The Bentley is fast as hell and superb to handle. Much better than the Jag, better than the Nissan and a bit better than the Sauber.

(And don't forget to put a tune on as soon as you got it.:))
 
I have most LMP type cars - the Bentley is definitely top 3. The Toyota GT1 is arguably the best of that type.
 
I've loved the Bentley since GT4. I just wish there was more from Bentley included in the game.
 
It's not the best LMP but it's close. Excellent car, corners better than the XJR-9 (so do most other Group C/LMP cars).
 
Seems pretty good but needs a good amount of tweaking to make it stable. I bought mine and like it. No regrets
 
Bently speed 8..Great car, love it (tuned: 842Hp @ 900Kg). Jag. Xjr-9 LM...Love it too (Tuned: 975Hp. @ 894Kg.). So the Jag. has a higher power to weight ratio and I think it's quicker. You will need racing soft tires on both cars for max handling. Other suggestions .. Peugeot 908, NCD 5Mil. (I think) and you don't have to pay to fix the engine and chasis. (Tuned: 922Hp. @ 930Kg.) ...awesome!!

I love my Bently speed 8! Its fun to drive but, dont push it too hard or it'll spin out on the corners. P.s do you use any driving aids?
 
The Bentley is my first choice. It's fantastic. I have quite a few of the race cars, including 787B, Toyota One, Sauber C9 etc.

I think the Toyota One is faster, but for overall enjoyment, the Bentley is my favourite. It is fast, it feels "planted" on the road (that extra weight helps to stop it being skittish), and the engine noise is something I could listen to all day....
 
The Matmut from Peugeot is AWESOME as well.

Lions Den Performance made a tune for this racecar, called "The Whale".

Can't believe you don't like the Jag. It's awsome in it's own way. The 908 is my fave though. Sorry about the double entry - computre's crap.

Still holds the fastest time around my Top Gear Test Track. I didn't test the X2010 or FGT, but the top Group C and LMP cars are on there. Buy it. Could be more powerful, but very fast through the corners and easy to drive by comparison to other 700pp+ cars.
