Only fault I see in the new Vette. Is I don't have one. Ok maybe lack of round tail lights is something I didn't expect. The rest, is well incredible.

That and the black A pillar.

And for some more good news, willow springs raceway is in GT5! Now will it come as DLC?

Brandon, I wish you could he placed in these GM's you so hate blindly and drive them. ;) I assure you wouldn't be so hating once you had a spin in C6 or now C7. I've driven only C5 and older. Howeve have had some nasty fast GM's and well all the petty stuff goes wayside when you climb on the loud pedal.

To be hating on interiors and such is saying you wouldn't enjoy racing cars. Think about that some.

Not to be rude but I'm thinking you never driven anything over 200 whp. Correct?

I will make a point to drive down and take you for a ride in the Evo this summer. :-) experience some serious HP!!! As well I can arrange rides in faster V8's from Indy if so desire. Wouldn't ask anyone that can't handle their machines though.

Where do you get this info???? Is it in the pics or something?

Speed/power is not the most important thing to me. That's why I used the bimbo analogy, looks good on the surface but I'd never marry her or even want to spend much time with her. Would I enjoy driving a Corvette? Sure I would. But I'd never want to own one. Quality matters to me, including the interiors. I would not expect a race car to have a nice interior, an old saying about "a bull with t:censored:ts" comes to mind. I do think that Cadillac ATS seems to be a kick-ass car, one I'd jump at the chance to drive, but I'd still have no desire to own one.

Just because my opinion doesn't jive with yours (or others) doesn't mean your opinion is wrong or mine is right. Just different. I have lots and lots of reasons for not liking GM cars and I sincerely doubt anything would ever change my mind on that matter. I'm not trying to argue about it, or anything, just stated my opinion that I didn't think it looked as good as it should. I'm sure it will dominate in any racing series it enters, as they often do. 👍

The C7 trailer has video of it running around on the track in GT5.

Guess I'd rather drive a aluminum interior. Rowdy loud car then a soft plush turd.

Different strokes.

My folks bought a new Caddy. AWD looks like a CTS. Don't know the model as it isn't LSX powered. LoL However we could arrange a drive in it.

Again, I'm not trying to argue or even debate about it. We all have our own opinions and mine happens to differ from yours and probably a lot of other peoples. It doesn't mean any of our opinions are any more valid than the others. My dislike of GM products is not meant to insult or offend you or to imply that your fondness of them is wrong or bad. I also don't like mushrooms or cream cheese, doesn't mean they're bad.

Having lived my whole life in a town that was ruined by GM, and being surrounded by the work ethics that drove GM (and this town) into the ground, it will be very hard for me to ever support them or their products. If that offends anybody, I apologize.

This is from a few years ago (things are worse now) but it does a good job of summing up the situation here.

Pretty much the exact same situation where I live, except substitute Chrysler for GM, for every single reason you've just mentioned and then some...

I also don't like mushrooms

Hey now!

I apologise for missing the race this weekend without notice. Unfortunately I had to leave unexpectedly on Friday evening and did not return until yesterday evening. It looks like you guys had some good racing, and congratulations to Johnny and Owens on their victories.

I think Tipton and Elwood have been hurt by Chrysler as well. I think it was in Tipton about 4-5 years ago that Chrysler spent millions building a new facility that was supposed to employee a 800 workers, as soon as they finished it they announced they were pulling out and the building sat there empty. Very recently another company has bought it so now it will at least be used for something.

No worries on whatcha like. It's what makes the world exciting. I just find it hard to comprehend how any person into racing and speed wouldn't like all cars that are quick and fun. I used to be anti import but that was when they couldn't get out of the 14's.

Then again my old man watches NASCAR to hate on Hendricks. He doesn't have a favorite outside the racer that wrecks a Hendricks car. LoL

For the most part I do like all good performing cars. I just have a deep seated dislike for GM specifically and American cars in general. They should be better than they are but their old-fashioned ways of doing things keep them from achieving their potential. This "dislike" in me is strong enough that I can't really enjoy any of their products. Ford is an exception, the way they have turned themselves around in the last 5-8 years is very impressive and they have possibly the best looking cars on the road right now (in this country). But they're quality and reliability are still sub-par compared to the Asians and that would keep me from buying any of them or even recommending them.

Anyway, this isn't the place to discuss personal hatreds or grudges. Let's talk about doing a vintage Le Mans race! Or start taking bets on how many C7 racing series appear on GTP in the next week.

Ok this may be a stupid question. But how about we do a spot race with the C7. Many want to flog it. In virtual world of racing. It's just another car. :)

Is it actually available yet? I'll be on tonight doing some testing, I'd allow the C7 on my track. :sly: Looks like Friday would be the next night I'm available for GT5 though.

I am way chuffed about the possibility of Willow Springs. The game has MORE than enough cars in it, but we're really hurting for more circuits. In my opinion at least 30% (maybe up to 50%) of the tracks in the game are useless for any kind of serious racing. Cape Ring almost angers me, they spent so much time creating that thing from scratch and while it has beautiful scenery and then they ruin it by putting that freakin' jump in the middle of it. I could deal with the giant loop, but that jump is a deal breaker for serious racing. The other variations of the track are largely rubbish as well, with the North section being the only one I've ever found useable, and it's barely useable.

*end rant

Tomorrow is what I'm reading. Maintenance and C7. Speculation is talking DLC track too. Oh would that be sweet. New American Car and American Track to flog it on.

I'm not spending any more $$ cents on GT5, but I might be up for driving a free Corvette.

On the GM thing: the only GM products I can see myself owning are somehow made in Australia. Passed on a G8 GXP 6MT deal a few years back and still kicking myself.

I'll gladly purchase a new circuit, highly doubt I'll pay for any more cars though. I think I still have $5-6 left on my PSN card, since I don't play any other games might as well spend it on a new track.

Agreed about the Aussie V8's, GTO/G8 would be about the only thing I'd consider out of the GM stable but even then it would be hard for me to actually do.

I'm also waiting to see what Chevy SS brings about. If it's not crazy expensive, I might get it in order to check "owning a V8 RWD Sedan" off my list.

Seen a G8 in buddies body shop recently. Was turned off after seeing how thin and cheap it was under the skin. He was saying how it was very cheaply made and weak structure. But shoot I don't buy a car planning to wreck it. LoL

RWD + LSX = FUN

Lol. That sums up a big part of my problem with GM cars. Such a large percentage of every car they sell has to go to pay all the retirees that they have to cheap out on the materials whenever they can. I can't tell you how many turn signal levers I've seen break off in my friends hand on their GM cars.......at least a half dozen! Same with window roller-uppers and seat-leaner-backers.

It's all irrelevant though, I'll likely never drive anything but a Subaru the rest of my life (unless for some strange reason I need a pick-em-up-truck, hopefully that never happens  ). I do like to brag that every Subaru Outback, Legacy and Forester sold in this country are made right here in Indiana by Hoosier workers, and starting next year (I believe) the Impreza is going to be built there too.

ANYWAYYYYYYYY...............I'll likely be in the lounge this evening playing around with different cars, if anyone would like to join feel free. 👍

Sony network in Europe is down for maintenance this evening.

That means ours will probably go down at some point tonight, they always say Tuesday but it usually happens on Monday night.

Archery?? Really? That sounds like something 'Mericans would do. :dunce:

Archery. Where did that come from?

It was the Sony network that was down. PD network is scheduled to go down tomorrow evening at 8pm GMT. So that rules out any racing for me, but it should be up again by the time everyone on your side of the world gets back from work/college/etc.
