Well last night was fun, the subby despite being AWD it barely uses and rear tyres and needs to be pushed to the limit to be quick and in most cars if you loose time with spins/wall hits and out braking yourself it is going to be hard to make it back.

At Rome I did 10 laps a second apart which is good for me but also shows both car and driver were at their limit.

Aaron's coat is going to be a strange race with cars working better with deep braking and others with better exit speed.

Bring it on I say!

Sorry, had a bad cough and cold lately

Oni,

Can you please change my car to Toyota WEDSPORT CELICA '03 as Spinner needs a team mate to crash into.

Not a ridiculous idea really. With the style of racing being so push and shove (as shown last night) do we embrace that and make the odd touch up less of a race ender ? IMO the ideal setting would be somewhere between light and heavy. Shame the damage settings have only 2 positions I guess.

Haha , almost did it again at Spa last night at turn 1. :dopey: Crappy spot to reverse out from into traffic. :ouch:

I love realistic racing, but having heavy damage on tight street circuits with as close racing as we had last night, also with cars that last so long on race tyres, I think it will force us all to not push as hard as we did last night. with damage on weak, we can push the whole race, and try nose the front of the cars into tiny gaps and have a crack without the worry of ending up with a damaged car and ruining someone elses race. Im not saying maybe weak damage so the racing can become less clean, should stay the same.

Only a thought, maybe even think about weak damage for street circuits at least. I doubt chan man will change his regs, but throwing an idea out there.

I don't know, i think we're all civilized here, and if we have heavy damage on, we might not have the urgency to go through some corners, where an accident is waiting, and have a cleaner race.
It seems like we won't push as much, but i reckon there are good enough drivers here, to be fast and clean at the same time.

But maybe another test with heavy damage on, perhaps?

I think these cars brakes are a lot better than the vantage, so rear ending someone shouldn't be a problem.
The only time when i think i would have gotten damage, is from people spinning(myself included)

(brings out soapbox, puts 5c in the slot)

*ahem* While i'm sure that I will have multiple opportunities to regret what i am about to say, I wish to side with PAWEL on the Heavy Damage On opinion. I'm "not happy*" when my race is "curtailed*" by someone else, and "extremely dissappointed*" with myself when i'm the cause of someone else's race ending accident. But I enjoy the high standard of driving required to participate in this level of competition, and would prefer it remain amore exclusive level of competition, rather than water it down to a similar level to the hundreds of online rooms running 24/7. They are easy to find, where as high quality rooms are not.

Hehe!:D

Yeah its a tough call, I suppose at the end of the day though...winning isn't everything, you gotta have fun too.;)👍
In the event that I do get into a series race with you guys; I will do my best to race as clean as possible...especially as I would be entering as a wildcard driver. I'm totally neutral in regards to the damage setting.
Both Light and Heavy have there merits...it's Oni's call, although we may not thinks its the right call...we live with it because we like racing with guys we know are genuine and do try hard to race clean right? (Rhetorical:D)

Not gunna happen lol, we like to encourage fast clean racing and putting damage on light causes drivers to act differently knowing the damage won't last.

Sure there's issues where cars have damage and it wasn't their fault but it's racing, happens every time cars enter the circuit.

It would cause more crashes having damage on light then on heavy lol

*enters room* Damage will remain on Heavy for all rounds! *slams door & leaves*

WHAT A RUDE PERSON, enters the room, owns it and pisses off!

For the qualifier, is the Amemiya Asparadrink RX-7 we are using from the recommended list garage, so no tuning? Or is it our own car, so we can tune?

I haven't checked to see if it's in the recommended list yet or not.

You love it Taital.

Mike - The Asparadrink RX-7 (Premium Model) will be stock. You can tune the suspension to your liking. I will be setting a HP limit for the qualifier round. As people will be buying theirs for the qualifier and may not have the chance to run it in.

Cool, cheers Oni.

I'd like to sign up please.

Not sure on what car yet but I'll pick soon.

Ohh noooo! (thoughts of Monstar in anything other than a rowing boat spurs the pricle to action!)

Oni, stick me in the mr-s if its still available (and you need a clown for a team mascot)! If it's not i'll pick something from what's left after qually. :)

Welcome to Team Voda Cac!

Good to have you mate. You took the final spot. In regards to your car choice we have a tier system for my series so during the qualifier you will be sorted into a Tier and be able to choose a car in that tier. For now id suggest picking 2 cars (1 from each tier) as a backup in case your tier doesn't allow the selected car. See the rules section of the original post.

pft! says you team no name.

I'd like to suggest a change to the track line up. After much thinking i believe Round 1 around the tight city track of Monaco (Cote d'Azur) may be a bit to much for new drivers to the series and may cause incidents as room for error is next to nil. With the close racing GT300 brings i suggest we move Cote d'Azur to Round 2 and Deep Forest Reverse to Round 1.

Let me know what you all think.

Cheers,
Oni.

Thanks Oni.
Is tier 1 for the fastest qualifiers and tier 3 for the slowest?

I don't know anything about these GT300 cars so picking 1 will be a stab in the dark.

+1 Oni, think that might give the new cats a bit of time to adjust to full damage, blaring horns, strobe lights and the New tyre requirements.

Stop mentioning horns I don't have one :(

Yes. Tier 1 has the fastest pace.

Done deal. Rounds have been switched.

Round 1 is now at Deep Forest Raceway Reverse.

Hey Oni; should wild card drivers also select a car...I would most prefer to run the Garaiya...but it is taken by 3 drivers already...so is the Autombacs MR-S...only car with 1 spot left is the: Lexus WEDSPORT IS350 '08 (Stock)...thtis is based on the concept that I still have enough pace to be tier 1.
If there is a way I could still run the Garaiya...I'd be keen.:D

No chance your in the celica rusty lol it's a tier 3 car and your to quick to be tier 3. Mostly we'd like the wild card to drive the same car as the person they are replacing and honestly they aren't hard to drive.. Im running a stock setup and I was 5 hundredths off oni's time and he spend at least an hour on his setup
