I have just got broadband in the last few days and have run into the inevitable I need space for all of the crap I’m downloading problem.

I want to buy an external HDD to solve this problem, however I’m also planning on getting a Mac in early 2008 and I don’t want all my data to be unusable. So I was wondering if anyone knew what the support for the NTFS file system was like on OS X?

Thanks. :)

Just as an aside I ended up getting a 320GB external HDD and I’m using Fat32. It seems the best solution. Thanks for the help Sage. 👍

Mac reads EVERYTHING.

Mac is like Ron Paul, whereas Windows is more of a Giuliani. One is more popular, the other knows what it's doing and how to make everyone's life easier.

Yeah, but I decided I need write support as well, so Fat32 is an decent compromise. Especially if I decide to keep my PC for downloads.
