osiris off road rush help needed. maby just being stupid.

Hi guys,

been loving dirt 3 but am a bit confused about this. I am on my 2nd stage off the tour and on the first part of it but it says i need 50 points to progress but i am 1st in all areas and gold in the gymkhana sprint. Do i need to buy the alpine open cup to progress in the game? seems a strange to do it that way hence im asking for your help. please let me know asap. :)

Yes you need to buy the Alpine pass, if I'm looking at this correctly.

Evidently not. If you win everything in an event, the triangle turns gold. None of your triangles are gold, so you haven't won everything. And given the way the game is structured, you don't need to win everything in order to unlock new rounds.

If you're still sure you've won everything in the Osiris Offroad Rush, try the Smith Optics Rampage, because I can see that is also incomplete.
 
I don't see how people become confused by the dirt 3 tour system...

Before I got hooked with online mode I finished the Dirt world tour and I remember that everything became unlocked earlier rather than later. Id be doing one event and It would always unlock the next 1-2 before I had finished. And I wasn't winning every race either.

So If your struggling to unlock something you must be missing loads of events. Im guessing when you unlock an event you just straight away go to the newest one whereas I made sure I finished each event before moving on to the next........ So you probably need to go back to the previous season and finish what you missed there.

Ya it's a pretty stupid system. They charge us $60 and then $20 or so more to get the rest of the game.
 
No, that's not it at all. You only pay for DLC - you don't have to pay to advance through the game. If you get stuck as ryn86 has, you either haven't done enough events to unlock later races, or it's a glitch in the game. Based on the way the triangles in his screencaps are not gold, I'd say it's the former.
 
I went back right through the game and none of my triangles go gold. someone fancey doing a screen shot to shoe this?

i went back looked through doin better in tour 1 has no baring on tour 2. in tour i have all 250 possible points without buying the add on. has anyone else completed it without buying more levels?

You should be able to complete the game without buying the Monte Carlo and Shibuya stages (mind you, those stages are well worth purchasing). Hundreds of people did it before those stages were released. If none of your triangles are gold, you clearly have not done some of the events. This may include the DC Challenges, but they don't give you points to unlock new events.

It sounds like a glitch in your game. I'd suggest restarting.

If you have not completed the DLC the triangle will not turn gold. As some on mine were gold but when the DLC was release they went back to normal.
 
Fair point - I didn't consider that. However, you do not need the DLC in order to be able to advance to the next event. If you have completed all non-DLC events and cannot progress, it is a glitch.

True that.
 
It's as Interludes says, enough people completed the game and not just the first season before the DLC arrived, so you don't need to buy that just to progress.
