Apparently some gas pipeline from Tucson to Phoeninx broke. I tsupplies 30% of Phoenix's gas. Now Phoenix is running out. All of the gas stations have lines that snake around the block. Many are closed down and taped off. I hear the pumps are operating unbelievably slow, two mintes to pump one gallon. People are waiting two to four hours to get gas, running out while looking for an open station or waiting in line. And I saw some hillarious fights break out on the news last night due to the long waits in the Summer heat. People are pretty pissed off

But I also heard yesterday that the pipeline has been fixed, but it could be weeks before it passes some government inspection *sound of cocking gun*

So Doug? Where's our gas?

I have a quarter tank left. It should last me a couple days. Then I don't know.

**** if I know - in fact the line that my oil evidently uses is different. I have no idea though since I don't change it into gas myself - that probably involves a lot of heat, and I'm scared of heat, and generally warm things like the sun and ovens.

You can buy gas, it isn't like it's unavailable - just slightly expensive. Keep in mind Europeans have been duped into paying $5.50/gallon; you can stand to pay $2.10 for a few days.

Don't make me use this big "CLOSE THREAD" button.

Now. When you have settled down, I'll start the car again. But if I have to stop it again, we're driving right back home and no Disneyworld.

Sorry neon duke.

You should be - what poor character of you. You should, in fact, stand in line at a gas station for two hours - it will improve your character by building it.

Don't make me use linen!

I'd be interested to know which percentage of my posts were on gray squares and which were on white - it'd be a cool statistic.

Milefile, just drive to a different area not affected by the line break. Duh!

In fact, most of Phoenix isn't affected. Milefile's merely absurdly crazy.

You don't get it. Phoenix is really about seven cities all crammed together into one endless beige sprawl. Nobody's ever heard of the rest of the cities because the whole place is just called Phoenix. It'd be a looong drive. DUH!

In fact, I've been through 25% of the city in the past two days and have seen half the gas stations closed and the other half spilling cars out onto the street, waiting in line. Funny think is, experts claim there is enough gas. I just don't know where it is.

You mean Surprise and Chandler?

...and New River and Mesa and Gilbert and Peoria and Goodyear and Buckeye, and Paradise Valley and Scottsdale and Tempe and Casa Grande and Apache Junction and more all get their gas from the same place.

I wasn't trying to be all-inclusive, but I do have an atlas right here so I could've been.

Every city has suburbs, you're not unique!

I know. But it's huge. For me to drive to, say, Gilbert, is 50 miles. So in my Jeep that's over three gallons of gas, but then factor in the air conditioning and make it more like four or more. Well that's almost all I have. And if I get there I'll have todrive around to find any gas. Then if I do I have to sit with the car off and no air.

DONT YOU DARE SAY IT BUILDS CHARACTER.
