Over 1 million car trade

That idea could work:
A car worth less than 1.000.000 cr. once a day
A car worth 1.000.000-4.999.999 cr. once a week.
A car worth 5.000.000-9.999.999 cr. once every 2 week.
Over 10 million once a month.

Or alternatively have a quota that resets every month.

I like this idea. 👍

An actual trade system and/or marketplace would be preferable (and, at this point, not having one would be anachronistic) to jury-rigging restrictions to the system GT5 had different from the ones it has now. Putting arbitrary restrictions in place was ludicrous when they first did it, and it wouldn't be any less so whenever GT6 comes out.

Sorry, but that just sounds annoying to deal with.

There is absolutely no logical reason for there to be gifting restrictions, unless all the sending would have a toll on the online severs. But I don't know if that's true.

We just need an entirely separate marketplace, with an auction house.

Agreed, why not just have a market place where you can buy what you want when you want it like paint and modifications.

I do like the current way used cars are handled; you have to actually look and wait for something you want or something rare instead of just buying it. That being said, I think there should be some truly rare and unique cars that would make the wait even more worthwhile.

That being said, I wouldn’t want an online buying system with other players if there were rare items in the game. Invariable a small group of people wind up with the rares and charge ridiculous prices for them. That’s not fun and too much like the reality I’m trying to get away from when I play a game.

I agree. In my opinion, the only valuable items in a market place should be user created items (ie, liveries or tunes). Car models should never be worth it to trade on the market as you should just be able to get them yourself in your own game rather easily.

They restricted it because people abused a GIFT system and used it as a TRADE system.

It was because people were selling the X2010's and other extremely high value cars on Ebay, profiting from something they don't technicaly own.

PD said they brought the limit "to prevent issues during the trading process."

But it's obvious they're full of it. It wouldn't hurt them to be honest.

I'm pretty sure that PD would take the duping into account when they design the servers for GT5. Potential for abuse due to poor design isn't a reason to restrict players who have no interest in abusing it anyway.

Its not like people are trading like crazy.
Restrict stuff for the first 8-10 months then theres no need to keep the restrictions.
Anyways, the life of a title is merely 6 months nowadays.

Ding ding ding.

Trade limits were put in place because it's a gifting system that people started abusing. Give us a proper marketplace, with no silly limitations (and an appropriate way for PD to limit people taking advantage of the system).

The one problem I can see is a way to have both a) a method to backup saves, as we currently have, and b) a marketplace/auction house. There are ways around it, but it'd be... complicated.

Well said.

Rather than restrict the fact that players instinctively wanted to trade PD should have embraced the idea and incorporated it.

I don't really have any complaints about GT5 but the lack of trading would be top of a very minor list.

A worthy proposal old chap:):dopey:👍

I want the trade system from the previous GT games where you have to physically buy the car off of the other. I wished GT5 had that but nope. :(

I think those really expensive and rare cars like Ford GT40, Jaguar C-type, Bugatti Veyron, Old ferrari's, etc it'd be pretty cool to make them seriously rare, and have RM Auctions style auction events for people to trade these.

The limit should still be there, but instead of a money limit, a level limit should be placed, which states:

Until you reach this certain level, you may not use this car in A-Spec, B-Spec, or Online portions of the game. And furthermore, you will not be able to modify this car until you have reached this level.

I still don't like the above system, but to me it is less asinine than placing an arbitrary cap on the price of the vehicle that can be traded.

If you don't like that system either, why want it put in place?

I'd even say that that idea is far worse than even the mess we got in GT5.

The whole system of GT5 isn't the best. I want to have the structure of GT4 back!
No credit limit, no limit with selling cars, no stupid level system...
