Delays aside I think the developers are including way too much content in gt5, there's rally cars, f1 cars, NASCAR, and Indy cars. Why don't they create 5 different and dedicated sims? I'd be happy to buy a dedicated rally and f1 game if made with gt5's engine. I'd rather they spend more time on including more road cars.

You do realize making 5 different complete games would take longer than what they are doing now right?

Also, IRL isn't confirmed, the magazine screwed up.

lol @ "too much content".

As somebody who likes buying really good video games -- and is a little bitter at occasionally buying a few $60 ones that are about 6 hours long -- I cannot back the 'this game has too much in it' argument. I'd rather it take longer and be better than already be out in a gimp'd version. This preference of mine is partially why I chose a PS3.

Too much content!!!!??!?!? Ok, call me crazy but that's a good, sorry GREAT thing for me! Also large amounts of content has always been the way GT's have been

I can not agree with the to much content but i hate all the delays. I know once the game finally comes out though we will all be more than satisfied. Besides we need all that content to hold us over for the next ten years when gt6 comes out lol

More the merrier, as long as they don't put bikes or 4x4's in the game then they can put whatever they like in the game.

From the looks of things.

GT5 will be the most content and feature packed game since... I dunno... Whatever the last game was that had nearly this amount of content in it. Or just EVER!

Agreed. Probably double GT4's content. And in terms of replayability: For me, limitless. Until GT6 comes out.

Yes, but they release it at different time.So i can pick up GT and play it while they working on NASCAR game...

I was always thinking that GT5 can be split into GT5 and GT6.And GT5 released last Xmas (without NASCAR,maybe less cars etc. But i can play it another 2 years!)

Personally it bet that GT5 will have even no "night" track versions (only few night tracks), no weather (maybe few wet tracks) and damage will be only for WRC and maybe NASCAR...
Simply they want to put _TO MUCH_ in the game!!!

Damage is in every single car. Kaz told this.

While I would agree on bikes, I can't agree on 4x4's.

Given the right track they can be great fun, while an old game, Enthusia showed that quite clearly....

Range Rover drift and jumps

....given the right situation any car can be fun.

Scaff

Fixed it for you (changed plural to singular, because there has only been one delay). Personally, I'm happy with them doing what they are doing. What difference does it make if the disciplines are all in one game, or spread out into individual games? None, unless they acquire the full license for each and make propers stand-alone games out of them.

Seems to me like you are totally missing the point about what they are trying to do. Besides, it would take way longer to get 5 individual games out compared to just one.

I don't mean scratches...

Don't he say "we can release it at any time" or "it will be released much sooner than you think" or don't he laugh when journalist asking about 2010 release date?He talking about weather and night racing but we saw only NIGHT TRACK.He talked about damage and we saw ONLY SUBARU.

I DON"T trying to tell that he lied but Kaz himself don't know anything (what to put in the game or not AND this is a part of creative man).Remember that they developing a PLATFORM - not only game.
And he can't do anything with release date.
And again there is so much pressure from everyone!!!Even from us - fans!!!We like much attacking GT and Kaz rather than help. :(((

I'm not talking about scratches either. I'm talking about mechanical damage which is the most important. Visual damage isn't necessary.

By the same token then, neither is mechanical damage... Both are related, because when you crash, there is consequence - visually and mechanically.

Yes yes.
For me graphics is very important -> my opinion.
GT always has some best graphics so how visual deformation is not important?

No, the visual damage has no affect on the driving. Mechanical damage can end the race there if it's big enough.

The visual damage is... well, just visual.

No.It's not "just".Graphics are not "just graphics".It's visual representation of reality.(compare forza vs gt for example)

It's affect how you enjoy it!And that's a LOT.
PD perfectly understand it and make GT graphics always on top.

I hope there will also be some station cars, like C63 estate and audi rs6.
and Suv's will be cool to volvo xc90 some range rovers damnnnnnn.
and then do an engine swap :).

well gt series had in every title a lot of cars, the game with the most cars in it.

exactly, even if GT5 have nascar and f1 content it wont have all the tracks anyway, i doubt they'll have every single nascar and f1 track. Thats whats so disappointing.

With Codies payin so much money for the F1 licence i wouldnt go expectin a whole raft of F1 stuff in gt5 other than maybe the 07 ferrari F1 car.

If you want F1 then wait for codies to (eventually, sigh) release their F1 game.

Overdoing it? Not a chance!

I would like have even karting, jetplane racing, destruction arenas, snowmobiles and.... 💡 ...oh, never mind.

I'm expecting a lot of content, because we will have to wait some more long years until GT6 arrive, so if they decide to put a jeep wrangler in GT and there's useable mud tracks with hills and obstacles, it's ok. Every car is funny to drive, they just need to be put on the right track. ;)

Very narrow minded...

So there you are, driving the car you just crashed at 125mph head on into a barrier, and it's low on power and pulling to the left. Yet, the body of the car and other visual elements remain pristine

I know that visual damage has no affect on the driving (I never said it did) but it has a huge impact on portraying that level of realism that PD are striving for, and hence your enjoyment of the game. Please don't tell me that you would be happy with just mechanical damage and no visual representation.
