With the onslaught of information we are getting with the Japanese release, is GT4 exceeding your expectecations, not meeting them, or am I jumping the gun and asking a bit early?

I vote "Bbetter than I thought" ;)

The info we've received during the last 30 hours completely surpasses my expectations.. Now GET ME THE DAMN GAME ALREADY :grumpy:

My only disappointment is that they have included very similar cars that should have been cut down and replaced by other cars. I've said this in other threads but I'll say it again, theres 3 rx8's with two of them being the same. That and the inclusion of pick up trucks (in a GT game  ) was a downer

That and the fact that theres not enough real life tracks. Dont know too much about that B-spec mode where you play tell the driver how to race but I would rather they replace that and included more tracks and cars.

But I think I've been expecting perfection from anticipating the game for so long.

It should be a great game nonetheless once it lands in Aus.

i havent even played the damn game yet. so i have voted for too early to decide.

You wont know untill you've played

I don´t think they left any car out just to put more Skylines and Evos.

I agree. However, I'm impressed by what I've seen so far, so i'm leaning towards overwhelmed. I know I'll love it when it comes out - I loved (and still do) 1, 2 and 3.

i'm pretty convenced GT4 is going to be insane. also i have a question.. is online play back in GT4 ? or is it still going to be on another DVD later?

as far as i know (unless i missed something huge), gt4 definitely doesn't have online play

To date, I am underwhelmed by what I saw on these bords about the game. No Lambos, many important cars still missing, too much fantasy tracks and too much useless things like photomode, B-Spec, etc.

See ya :sly:

You expected too much, you see I didn't expect Lamborghini, Ferrari or Porsche I knew they wern't in after KY said they wern't. Also I think your mad if you think photomode and B-Sped are useless.

As for online, I'm looking into this online via xlink which I may get into once GT4 is slotted into my PS2.

I haven't voted yet since it might improve but at the moment I'm closer to the underwhelmed side.

I knew there was going to be alot of Japanese cars but 7 different versions of the MK1 MX-5 (for example) is a bit excessive & appears to just be bumping up the numbers. Doing different versions of the same car is no doubt faster to develop which I wouldn't mind so much if they had done it for not just the Japanese cars (which seems to be the case) not that I particually want 7 versions of nearly every car no matter where it comes from...

Yes GT4 is big, yes GT4 is impressive, but damn we've been waiting long enough so I think its fair to expect a lot especially when they practically boast perfection :ouch: And of course online isn't offcially supported yet.

It doesn´t so far, but it supports LAN mode, and it was already tested on Xlink. It works fine apparently.
