well...when holden brought out the commodore in 1979, the only good thing about it was the engine. holden has been saved by sheer grunt when their cars were crap.
i traded my pajero in for a VP commodore this afternoon. i tell ya what, its got plenty o grunt. chipped 3.8 the previous owner reckons 176kW (239hp) and from the thump when i floor it, im inclined to agree.
you manuals are pretty rare in VR/VS...even a manual VN is hard to get. but if you can get one, youve got a skid machine.
my VP is manual, thats the only reason i bought it apart from the kick arse donk. havent dropped a burnout yet, its pissing down rain and a skid in the rain is almost like cheating.
theres a certain amount of power you can use in a car. having 370kW is fine...can you use that round town? no. for me i think 300hp is the limit for town use.
People, I have been away for a couple of days, but here is how it is gonna be. If ANYONE besides us Ozzi's post crap in this thread, we will all just up and leave. No replying, no nothing. one of us will post that we are going, and after about 5 minutes, we can come back. That is how it will be. No arguments.
