Just wondering if it is possible to paint over the Shelby GT350R without losing its stripe decays.
If not, are there any other cars like this so I don't mistakenly paint over them too and lose the stripes/decays.

Sorry if might seem a bit obvious but the search function isn't useful when it comes to searching picture threads...

The stripe should remain. Tried repainting a Ford GT '06 once, and the stripes and stuff were still there afterwards (albeit in a different colour).

I annoyingly repainted mine a nice shade of yellow and all that was left was an off-yellow 350 decal down the doors. I bought another a bit later and will not be painting it.

You could back-up your save, try it, and if you aren't happy, just copy your save back.💡

I painted mine black, and it covered up the stripe. I've read in the PS GT% forum where people said that it doesn't matter what color your paint it, it will cover up the stripe

That's because you can buy the car with stripes and without stripes. Cars like the Scuderia (I think) come only with stripes, and if you paint it any other colour, the stripes are still there.

I read a while back that only premiums keep their stripes. I have only painted a premium ford GT and that worked fine, not tried any standards though.

It's even easier than that, when you paint a car or wheels and don't like the effect, just quit the game BEFORE you leave Gt auto as the game does not save until you return to the GT life screen, restart the game and the car will be un-painted and you will still have the paint chip.

^^^ Good tip. I hadn't noticed that, but I've only been to the paint shop once.

I assumed it's like buying or changing cars, and it saves immediately.
