Paint chips from british lightweights seasonal event

So I see that you can win paint chips from coming on 2nd place (you don't get it for first oddly enough) in the new British lightweights seasonal event. When you select the prize paints under the items menu, it says "paint your car's body etc. With a set of colors specially selected by polyphony digital." This differs from the text of paints you acquire by any other means. I was wondering if these paints are new or especially rare or if they're just normal paint chips. I won a "neptun-grun metallic" chip. Apparently it's a Ford color but it sounds german to me.
 
Not sure, but seems like it's something to look in to. I know you only get them for not coming first etc. (how stupid), but i assumed they'd just be awarded as a paint chip when you returned to the GT life screen. Might even be possible they're new if this is the case.
 
I came first in all of those races :( and not much of a paint chip collector ... more obsessed with trying to get a matching helmet and racing suit :sly:
 
Actually I got neither,but I got some variations of gold(oro I think and another one) and a turquise metallic something or other,I will look after this one.:) It still annoys me that I have to race within myself.
 
ok so they don't give mattes and chromes. but the chips they do give... are they exclusively obtained from those races? or are they available like every other paint chip in the game?

LOL i don't want to hit 2nd place just to get a championship white :D
 
Oro Chiaro and Citron Gold Metalic. I think they are still unique.(although saying that i could still use a few championship whites as it is one of my favourite colours. ;)) I honestly forget the Turqoise blue chip I got but I'm pretty sure I didn't have it.I got Rouge Cerise that time and I was right up that Elise 190's rear end..

Well, this is just a theory but it seems to me that the more you do the same race, the better the prize or atleast more interesting. For instance at first I would get the old bi-color or trainer suits, but after repeating the smae race 4-6 times I've been getting the Flame pattern, scorpion suits etc. etc.
 
I haven't had one single suit at all from these races,A whole hat load of helmets though some were pretty cool too.

The Nurburgring One gives you a suit for first, there is one othr that does aswell.
 
Ah I only one haven't done,I really don't like that one track..I've won on all the others though.
 
I wasn't complaining but thanks.:)

I guess somebody out there heard me as I just got a chicane suit from the Monaco race.:)
