Anyone else noticed problems when repainting the Series One?

For one, the stripes become a darker shade of what ever color you paint it. Also, colors come out darker on it than other cars for some really strange reason. I've tried all sorts of things to "fix" it, but no luck.

Too bad....it's a nice car.

Yes. I've experienced the same thing. In my case, the stripes are still visible when painting it, and they strangely look like if they were on top of the license plate and Shelby logos.

I agree. Such a great car.

Sadly, one of many cars with paint issues... :yuck:

If PD could add a simple, small option in the paint shop to "keep" or "remove" racing stripes, or paint them individually... I think it would be a giant step in the correct direction 👍... haters can talk as much as they like, but a lot of us want a livery editor in the game...:)

Exactly my thoughts. Even though I'm not too much into liveries and stuff, I would see myself having a lot of fun with replicating famous liveries.

But apart from that, because of issues like with the series 1, an option to keep or delete the stipes would be great. So far I haven't seen any other car with this issue.

The premium Ford GT has this issue, though it is backwards.
I had a solid color Ford GT that I planned to paint brown, because it would look without stripes in brown, but when I painted it brown, the stripes came back. :(

The Series 1 is definitely the worst I've seen; other cars with stripes at least handle them much better. Great idea on being able to optionally remove them though.

While we're at it, I'd love to be able to remove or at least change the retarded looking round white number decals on all the race cars. It takes away SOOOOO much from their look.

No offense (and to each his own), but I really don't think those stripes make a bit of difference on a brown car with blue wheels. :)

Hey, Kelli (one of my friends) chose the color scheme. It is weird, but, it is interesting. You might be right though.

Though, I would like that if you wanted stripes, you could use a second paint chip to paint the stripes separately from the body color paint chip.
It would use up both chips, but, it would make it more fun for cars that have stripes.
