i read from some japanise gt site (probably rumour) that in gt4 there will be paint shop... where you can somehow design your own car paintings, stickers and do some changes to the look... don't know it's factability but decided to inform....

but it would be really nice thing to have.... :D
 
It'd be hard to get the permission from companies to be able to "deface" the cars. In some ways, it could be seen as really really bad advertising. That is probably the biggest reason why they wouldn't allow it in the game. But who knows...
 
In the "making of GT4" video [or whatever its called] that is floating around the GT boards, they show a 350Z in a meadow that is changing colors, and there is a "color" wheel at the top that appears to be adjustable. My bet is you can change any car to any color. Again, maybe that was just a demo. Check it out.
 
that would be a great customization tool, because when u hopefully race online you car would not look like the next persons.
 
I would really like to be able to change the color of my cars. In real life I can get my cars painted any color I want, so I think it would be nice to be able to do that in the game.

sure. ill compare it to Street Racing Syndicate and The Fast and The Furious games instead. Hope Polyphony's reading this. only adding rims is NOT going to make your car stand out from the other cars.

I agree, and hope they do something about it. Besides, when your racing you can't really tell the difference between rims anyway- except for color.
 
As long as I can change the paint color of my cars, then I will be happy. I hated being stuck with a bright red Mustang SVT Cobra in GT3. It would have been much better (to my tastes) in Basic Brooding BLACK! (since almost all cars look best in Black).

Add that abillity in and I am happy (as long as the car variety is what I have heard it will be, 500 or more, similar mix to GT2).
 
hmm.... the painting shop would be good... even if it would be only for changin color... no need any actual paintings.... :D
 
Although its a good idea i don't think that it will be included in this game. As xcrezyx said, it is hard to get permission from the companies to do this but in an interview with Kazunori Yamuachi that i read he said that the companies are becoming less strict on what happens with their cars in the game so we might see it in gt5.

i don't really need a paintshop , i just like to change the color when i'm buying a new car, and thats obviously going to be avaliable just like in all the other GT games, i'd like to have bodykits of some sort, now thats frickin'cool as we say it:cool: :cool: :cool:
