Unlocking paint and horns is a bit silly, but it doesn't bother me.

There are more serious issues that need to be fixed IMO.
 
I need to find a pink car so I can paint my Ferrari's pink :)
 
Would it be possible to exploit this by sending a car to a friend, who could possibly recieve a paint ticket? Then he can trade back, and you get one, and you keep doing this method till satisfied?

No option to get the roof in black or white, right? Very strange, as almost every MINI is sold with the roof in black or white...
 
strange thing is when you win or get a paint ticket, its says painting a car will only cost you a bit of credit.
I havent actually painted a car yet, but on top of losing the colour for using it once do you also have to pay? It just seems like were are losing out twice
 
It's a bit of an unfinished idea that wasn't followed through. Much like only being able to select your helmet/uniform once.

I've been going through the used car lot and finding very cheap cars to buy for the paint.
 
The paint ticket system doesn't bother me too much but is there a way to preview the car in the color you choose before paying?
I know there's that little blob of paint next to the car but can you see the car in that color before paying credits for it?
If not they should add a preview option.
 
yeah the paint thing is really silly tbh, but one theory I can think of is that PD wanted the trading system to work? I mean I guess PD would think what's the point of gifting this car in this colour if the other player can easily just repaint it themselves so they go ahead and implement this ticket system. I dunno, just a thought but what do you guys think?

Yeah that paint thing could be improved I really want to have all my cars in the same color :D
 
I didnt know we lose the paint ticket once its used. I ended up wasting a color on a car i dont care about. And I thought standards can be painted, I tried painting my chevelle but said I can't. I didn't care about changing the wheels as long as i can paint the car but I can't.

This works!!! (kinda)

My friend needed to borrow my Lambo, so I sent it to him. When he sent it back, I got another paint code.

But I guess you can only give a car once a day, so you can only duplicate a paint ticket once a day, but its better than having to go buy an expensive car just to get the paint....
 
i dont know why are you guys disliking this paint system, ive collected over 30 paint chips and i can never had enough of it!!:dopey: i have like 10 grades of white, 10 blues, 2 reds, 2 mattes, few grey metallics, lots of blacks ( for black rims), some crazy colours like gold :dopey::dopey:

seriously i already know msot of my fav cars paint colour name to begin with, i just have to imagine what colour would suit it.
 
We love all the paints, its just the fact that you have to have the ticket to a certain color, and you cant buy tickets (except for trading). Compared to real life, where you go to your local paint shop, tell them what you want, they get it and you pay. And you can have all your other cars the exact same color.

Whereas in GT5, if I want all my supercars in matt black, Im going to have to trade a lot of stuff...

I had the absolute same issue! Wasted "plum crazy" from my '70 Charger on a Miata -.- What happens when I repaint a race modified car? I got a Challenger R/T in sublime and now it's white but I don't want to waste another great color - or is it still paintable?
 
I got an FT86 concept with a seriously cool 2-tone paint that changes colour from purple to green depending on the light that falls on it (can't remember the name).. but now I'm afraid to use it on a car because I might never get that paint scheme back again.

The suggested option to be able to buy another paint ticket of the ones you have already acquired sounds like the best solution.. you don't have access to all the colours immediately but once you get one and really want that paint on other cars ,you just buy it again for all cars you want in that colour

EDIT: come to think of it, how about if you repaint a car you get a paint ticket of the original color.. this way you don't lose any tickets if you make a mistake or just want to preview the color on a certain car
 
I don't like most of the system, but I could accept it if there was a proper preview of colours before you apply the paint. This flaw is even more frustrating to me because they've given the premium dealers four different lighting conditions to view colours in.

However, you can preview if you really want to - when the car rolls out of the paint booth the game is not saved until you hit the continue button. If you hate the new colour and don't want to waste it you can quit to the XMB, and when you restart you'll have your car still in its old colour with your paint intact. Rather time consuming when you want to paint multiple cars and aren't sure what colour you want though!
 
It would be nice to be able to buy the paint chips.

Calling this scheme stupid without knowing what the decision is based on is plain ......

it only works on cars with their original colour if your car have a custom paint the colour you guys recieved will be randomized i tried it twice
 
I think it's stupid you can only use the paint once. I saved up a nice collection of cars & paints, now i've began tuning & painting them i've used up most of the best colours already without realising. They definitely need to change it so that once you have a certain colour you can use it over & over again for a small price.
