Whew I've been gone for a few days on a paintball tourney with my friends. It was something that we made a few years ago and spend a couple of days just playing. But this tourney was a little different for me cause I actually had my own gun.

My gun is a JT Excelerator 3.5. It's pretty nice but I want a longer barell and I can't find one for this gun. I also want a laser dot site for it as well. So could someone please tell me some sites were I might find stuff for my gun?

I'm pretty set on other stuff. I have a 20oz. and a 12oz. Co2 tanks, 200 round ball hopper, 4000 rounds of ammo, and some sweet gloves :D .

So if anyone has a site for a barell and a site please let me know

Thanks,
Street

20oz doesnt last long enough, i prefer my 50

have you looked into getting a custom made barrall as i have?
they work pretty awesome and any gunsmith can do it

the laser pointers are not all that great, they are a novelty.
Maybe if it was a real gun they would work, but paintballs fly out on weird angle with different variations of spin and they change direction in the air.

my 20oz and 12oz lasted a good while. I don't know how many hundreds of rounds I went through.

How much would a custom barral be? I don't really want to spend a bunch of money cause the gun isn't the best.

The site is not a laser pointer it puts a little dot on a peice of glass but it uses a laser. Its hard to explain.

i know what you mean with the laser pointer, that is exactly what i have. I dont like how it atteaches to my gun eiter. is the top of your gun where it attaches dovetailed?
A 20oz will last about 500 good shots for me
my 50 obviously does a lot more than that

my custom barrle was a hundred canadian, so prolly $55 or $60 US

it all depends on what you want it for and the size of it

I need better accurcey and range. I'm thinking 14 or 16 inch should do quite nicely.

55-60 isn't to bad. I'll look in to that.

thanks

well the accuracy isn't very good. I can live with the range

thats the thing with paintball guns, they will never be as accurate as a real gun

its not a sharp bullet piercing the air, it is a thin rubber circle that has basically no spin on it. A barrel can help, but it wont make it perfect

Oh I know but I want to at least be close to what I'm aimming at.

Ya I need some new ones. I need them tinted it gets bright out there.

i dont recommened tinted, just get a good set that does not get foged up. Thats the #1 complaint i have with paintball.
Heavy breathing in the face mask mess's your vision

when I got my make I bought some anti-fog lens for it. Plus I wear eyeglasses so I have trouble with some lens and masks

i have a ****ty mask that fogs.
I need to replace it.

get camo flaks
gotta be dressed right

do you play indoors or in a filed or in the woods?

Woods and feilds mostly. We played about an hour north of us today at my friends cabin. We had 20 arces to play on it was great.

I have some nice camo I wear to. Its full army camo.

when you decide to step up a few notches, take a look at docs machine. He's located up in Alaska, so expect some time and cost issues.

Custom barrels are nice, but a good DYE Boomstick or J&J Stainless steel are both excellent.

For reasonable prices and decent service, check out 888paintball.com.

A few years ago, I gave up paintball. Got to be too expensive. I tried out for the Canadian Black Shields (Montreal), and made the team, but travel and paint expense was outrageous.

This in a pic of my Autococker. Sold it off after I got married. (Not sure if that's a correlation...)

Sounds like you guys were out having fun.

This is my paintball gun.
Its not a fancy as the ones pictured, but effective nonetheless.
Im eventually getting an electronic trigger for the gun though. ;)
See if a boomstick is made for your gun, its a good barrel.
The two piece barrels are the better barrels as the stainless steel is for barrel longevity and the aluminum for lightweightness.
You will probably be paying around 100-150 dollars for a good barrel.
Good luck Street with the barrel.

That looks like the Avenger my friend bought..
What kind is it?

I believe that the one's I've got pictured are a 16" Smart parts, a 12" 32 degrees Carbon Fiber, a 14" 32 degrees Carbon Fiber on the gun, a 10" boomstick, and an 8" Stock one from my Micro cocker.

I've owned close to 20 different guns, and this one was my favorite. All hand picked pieces, polished, and assembled. Once I got it timed up and practiced a bit, I could empty a revolution hopper in just under 18 seconds.

Incredibly accurate with the 14" CF on it. The gun is now in tournament use up in Canada. The kid using it went from a stock Spyder to this gun.

I do miss playing. Love the Spyder. I'd suggest that once you get a chance, invest in a Compressed air system. You'll find better consistency in your FPS, and that'll allow you to tune the gun up even better.

Good luck,

wow:eek:paintballing sounds really fun!:pi asked my mom if i could get a paintball gun for christmas and she said maybe.any site where i should start looking?

Hmmmmmm, has anyone gotten hit on the butt cheek with a paintball man it hurts I went with one of my friends we split into two teams and well I got it on the ass.

I started wearing a cup. One shot was all it took.
And of all people to do it, It was my brother.

Dropped me to the ground. Nearly threw up in my mask.

I'll warn you about paintball, it's quite addicting, and you can spend fast acsh quickly. One of your best investments will be a good mask. Don't cut corners there.

I got one in the forehead wheni lifted my mask of by accident. it was from about 50 yards away and it was a pump shotty with the 5oz tanks and it knocked me right onto my ass and made me dizzy for 5 mins. NEVER LIFT YOUR MASK ANYTIME!!!!!!
if it would have hit my eye it would have blown it to pieces, almost like hitting an egg with a bat.

My gun is a Spyder Shutter with a bunch of other parts attached.
The gun came with a 2 chamber expansion chamber and I installed an 11 chamber on it for better warming of the co2.
I added a Dye barrel (all stainless) for more accuracy and has been the best barrel Ive owned so far.
I also added the 45 grip for better grip than the cheap plastic handles that come with the gun.
I wear a cup too, it protection from a 68 caliber bullet of paint travelling at 300 feet per second. :thatsodd:
When we play renegade, we just wear camo stuff with a tee shirt for being cool here in the Deep South.
Good luck in playing paintball, its a big blast of fun and the most adrenalin rush next to drag racing. ;)

I'm jealous of y'all.. I really, really want to try my hand at paintball, but I'd have to have a group of people to go and I don't. *cries*

I'm guessing that many of the fields around you would have a "Walk on day" give a call, show up and they'll have rental guns, and gear for you.

You won't regret it, and you'll be exhausted at the end of the day.

Good luck,
and enjoy!
