Painting a car - adding stripes

I came across this car on the photobucket / photomode gallery.

How do you add stripes to a car that doesn't come with them?

That's a chromeline...you can't add stripes to a car.

As stated, you can't paint stripes to any car in GT5.

The Chevrolet Camaro SS '10 and Ford GT '06 are cars that if you purchase the car in a solid non-striped paint, once you re-paint them, a stripe will appear. The stripe that appears is not one that you can select, it is basically pre-determined. These cars come with stripes from the dealership though.

There are other cars you can have stripes on, but all of them escape me at the moment.

God! I wish we had some kind of Livery editor... even a tiny one would make a big difference on the game...

They should allow us to use the stickers they have in the game, as well as the racing numbers. I would spend so much time customizing my cars that I think I wouldn't have time to drive them !

Except they would probably have to shell out more cash for the licensing from each individual manufacturer and company represented by those graphics, as PD probably licensed the cars themselves, not the graphic details on them. I'm assuming you mean the manfr logos on the tuner and race cars, correct?

There are several cars that you can add stripes to when you paint them. You can't intentionally add them. They will appear whether or not you want them.

My favorite of these is the premium Ford GT. Painted mine with a chrome silver, and it left a black racing stripe with the same reflective consistency of the chrome line cars. Not at my GT5, but I'm pretty sure that when I painted my ACR Viper with the purple chrome out of the dlc pack that it put black stripes on it, as well (the car was painted w a deep metallic purple, no stripe, before this)
