Cool... i love the new additions... i hope the mercedes SL55 AMG is the newest body style with a supercharged 5.4 liter V8... Also i like the new Audis... Chrysler Crossfire , Cadillac Cien , VW NARDO (this is how the W12 sportscar will be called i belive) , VW GOLF , Lupo , Infinitis , Focus RS , Ka , pontiac... cool... It's a shame they didn't include the new Ruf Turbo R which is the fastest currently produced car...
 
Can anybody translate the page to English? I found there are 99 of them in the list with "*" and 99 of them without. Those I found from GTC2001 on this list are without the "*". Most(all?!) of them with the "*" can be found in GT3. GTC2001 only has 61 cars. So they added at least 38 cars?

Don't worry about the "*", I've got them too!! :)

If it is a tranlation of the text at the top you want, sigh....here goes:

GT3 has without a doubt been a giant hit on PS2, and now the fans can sink their teeth into the expansion (that's what is says), GT Concept, which contains some of the most chruchy delecious and special, concept and prototypes.

There is nothing more than 198 cars on the list, and many of them has only been shown on car, and motor shows around the world. One of the nearly 200 cars is the Volkvagen W12 concept, which has set a new speed world record over 24 hours the 13th - 14th October in Italy: The average speed in 24 hours was 295,24kmh (183mph) - Who said fast?

The game shoud be in the shops at the 17th of July.

I didn't compare them side by side but looks like those from the GTC2001 Tokyo are all in this list. Even the 4x4 SUVs like Tarmac and RSC are there. They added Hyundai (from the Korean version GTC) and some others like Cadillac and VW W12.
 
I'm still pised off! What the hell is with the 99% JAPANISE CARS??? We don't like no $hitty economy cars! Where's the Shelby GT500 that's LISTED IN THE RIGHTS IN THE BACK OF THE GT3 MANUAL???????????? G-O-D!!! What, can you say RACIST??? They don't even have any Diablos or anything like that! The only prototypes are, once again, JAPANISE!!! Now, I'm not racist or anything like that, but I'm getting pretty fed up with this uneven tilt of the "Japanise Pride"
I can't because they're too racist against other countries becaus we don't always have to make economy cars, but honestly, I'd love to race this car:

Easy now, you seem to have forgotten that Gran Turismo Concept has a fourth word in it's title namely "Tokyo" - So it kinda implies that there might be coming an American, and European Concept....

I even think that you can find a thread about that in the forums...
 
Sorry, I'm just fed up with the fact that the only console that doesn't cater to just Japanise is the dreaded Microsoft. I mean, you'd think that just once in a while other places like Australia, Europe, Canada, and the US could get some games before Japan. I just like the theory "What goes around comes around"

P.S. If you look at how many of those cars people would actually race(japanise cars) to the cars that people actually race(other countries), the % of wasted space is wasted on so many crappy economy cars, that it's kinda rediculous. I agree that having a few crappy cars in it can be fun, but having 12 Subarus, 12 Mazadas, 17 Mitsubishi's, 20 Hondas, 25 Toyotas, and 30 Nissans, look at those last numbers! 3 companies totalling 75 cars? Let's look at the 3 "largest" non-japanise companies and total them up: VolksWagon, Lotus, and Chevy each with 5, Mercedes and Audi each with 6, and Ford with 7. That's what, 15? Hmm... that's 5x as many with using the 3 "largest" from Japan in comparison to the world.
 
You are absolutely right, that it would be nicer with more american cars, instead of always having to drive 30 Mitsubishi Lancers, but since the developers of the GT series are japanese, i think it is only locigal that they put so many japanese cars in the game. (Damn them, i miss the muscle cars from GT2)
Also, since the majority of games is made in japan, most of them are out in japan first. I don't think we can do anything about it.
But sometimes there are an european or american company, that spits out something cool, and the japanese have to wait. (HA!)

So, at least, we dont have to wait that long for Stuntman, or Driver 3 ;)

Yeah, I'd also like to have some Saab's and other cars like that in there too... What happened to the Dodge (was it Charger or Challenger?) I'd really love to see the General Lee in the game! Now THAT would be worth the $50 just for that car to be in it! But nope, we've got to play with DAIHATSU Copen...

I'm pretty sure SAAB and Volvo were given a chance to join the GT franchise... IIRC, SAAB was the one that rudely rejected GT's proposal. Not too sure why though..
 
no the Shelby GT500 was made in 19.... 19.... well all i know is its not and the best looking one was made in 1967.... and the Cadi Cien is in GT4 if you havent noticed
 
Just going back a bit...

I think the lack of american cars in the game is due to the type of game that it is, look at the tuning for example you have options like turbo and intercooler kits and fully adjustable suspension kits plus all of the gearbox stuff. i know people from both camps(old school V8s & and the newschool Turbo imports)and i dont know of any of the V8 crew doing the kind of mods you see on GT but my mates with skylines, supras, EVO's and WRX's do a lot of these types of moddifications to there rides. also bro if you had a rare as **** original shelby GT500 would you want to rip it up on the track and fill it with mods, its called a driving simulator for a reason
