PAL Prologue and NTSC PS2+ HDLoader - anyone get it to work?

Being deeply disappointed that GT4 was supposed to be out today and isn't, I've tried to play the PAL prologue on my NTSC PS2 by loading it onto HDLoader.

The game loads, but obviously doesn't display properly, what with it not being PAL. The screen is black and white and flickers awfully as the refresh rate is off.

Has anyone successfully gotten it to work? I suppose if I knew what to edit I could stick the PS2 HD into my fiancée's PC and change the appropriate registry file, but I haven't got a clue what that file would be.

I've not got an Action replay, so I can't try that method.

Find a TV Monitor which accepts 50 Hz (display PAL frequency), and it will be ok.

It turns out my very clever wife to be got it working shortly after I went to bed.

Care to explain what she did. So far I have only been able to get it to work using many swap disks, no luck of the HD though.

Apparently the TV has a PAL mode.

As far as the PS2 was concerned, there was no problem at all with the game. We loaded it onto the HD on a PC, as it wouldn't like a PAL dvd.

It works fine using Swap Magic version 3.3 and a Flip Top without any problems, Even on a NTSC TV!

Hi, Ive a similiar problem, the GT4 in nstc version came out black n white on my lcs sharp screen any idea why? Wat is a a Hdloader can someone advise.
