PAL/Standard ??? Difference?

Hey guys I don't understand the difference between Polyphony (PAL) and standard versions.
I thought "PAL" was like the European standard for digital data transfer or something.
How do I find out which kind I have, and what are the differences?:D
 
I don't think he was asking about the Diablo or the F1 cars.

Pal is the version widely available in Europe.
NTSC is the U.S. Standard
