man we didnt take our time drifting, thats just a fast 2 lap we did, because we dont have time, i just want to do it fast to show you guys, i didnt say its gonna be the best, hey LanEvo, lets see you do it, thats if you can with one lap, we didnt practice, we just play for one lap, man trust me, i have another one that is 50MB, that video of twin drifting, it took me and my friend a month to do all the things right, we'll be uploading that one sooner or later because i have 56K!!!!!!!!!!!

well the file's named twin drift demo
demo is short for demonstration
the video doesnt demonstrait twin drifting, just two cars drifting togethere with different styles.

if your going to issue a challenge, think it through. nobody in my area can drift as well as i can, it'd look worse than that vid you made  if you want me to twin drift with my ghost it'll be the best thing you ever saw ;)

edit: (but it still wouldn't be twin drifting lol)

SIM ROCKS and always will. i cant drift with slicks to supersoft. just too easy. and you get out of yuor drift way too fast IMHO. like that twin drift vid by night_drifter. it was cool, but iwas wasnt sim. sim get's you more smoke! :D

My older brother and I have both managed to pull of parallel drifts at Tokyo R246. He took up a Silvia S13 2000cc and I used the 240SX Fastback TypeX. It was pretty cool, especially at the first turn on the second lap, where it does an overhead view. The replays are cool to watch, and we kinda pick them apart to make each other better at it, so we can judge when to start the drifts.

Plus the fact we're brothers makes it easier to criticize each other.

Sorry buddy but that was twin drifting, and it's the best twin drifting I have ever seen (mostly cus there isn't much out there)
Some of the corners are not perfect but there were some very good ones in there. I personally can't wait to see the final movie. And twin drifting with your ghost is nothing like drifting with another person. There is a reason why there is practically no twin drifting out there it’s cus it incredibly hard. Its amazing how hard twin drifting really is. I have spent countless hours trying and only got a few corners well. Just because 2 people can drift very well it doesn’t mean you can do it side by side. I am very impressed by what Night Drifter and Akina 86 have done.

Now I respect your view on the subject as much as the next person... but real twin drifting REQUIRES both cars to take the same line and angle in a turn. At no point during that video did both cars enter at the same speed, stay at the same angle and line, then exit at the same speed. Regardless, that was some of the best drifting I've seen. But it wasn't "twin drifting", just two cars drifting really close together.

Yes, yes it was. I'm very impressed by every video Night_Drifter puts up. I can't do those kinds of drifts in FR if my life depended on it.

well i know its not that perfect of a twin drifting for you guys, but isnt twin drifting is when two person drift, because we're not talking about parallel drifting, is there a diiference between twin and parallel drifting, if there is then im wrong, i will tell kina_86 to make it again, thanks TruenoAE86, and i guess LanEvo is jealous because he cant do it!!!!!!!!!

Come mid august I might have some twin drifting vids. A few people that I know that are into GT3 drifting will be getting together at a car convention. So if we have time we wanted to take some twin drifting vids and make some music vids out of em. Although it is gonna be hard, specially for me since I am the only one out of the bunch that doesnt use sim tires. But we'll try to get more than just two :D

it's a lot of fun drifting alone but if you got a 2P run going its hella fun. me and my friend were drifting deep forest in S13's and i was in 2nd ... when we pulled up to the turn after the bridge/tunnel straightaway, i had to slow down mid drift so i didn't hit him ... it's fun as hell and the replays are gorgeous. get friends over and start making vids ... once me and my friend move in together we'll have the resources to make a ton of vids .... (i'm a movie freak so it'll have a good soundtrack and it'll be directed/produced nicely...it'll also be good quality cuz he steals all this hi-tech comp stuff from somewhere) so wait till september...

Hey LanEvo lets see you do it, you said that your mom can drive better, then why you say at first that your the only one knows how to drift, you think you know, but you have no idea!!!!!!!!!

OK ive had a look at the vid it wasnt quite what i was expecting.as it was called twin drift demo i thought it was going to be like 2 cars drifting the same line and angles. Now i think thats what quite a few people were expecting but in fact the vid was of two cars staying close and drifting which looked awsome I liked seeing the different lines and angles you & Akina took. Is there some Terminology that needs clearing up? I after thinking about it would agree that ,that was Twin Drifting and that the technique of following the leader would be called Parallel drifting or even Mirror drifting.Does anyone really know? looking at the Cudamans imformative drift guide did not provide an answer on this one although it has got clear and concise definitions of some drift terminology. To sum up not what i expected but pleasently suprised none the less.

well i didnt know that for you to able to twin drift, you have to stay close to each other, maybe i'll try that later one and send it again, because the ones we did, its only a 2 lap then i just put it together, myabe we'll have to take 4 hours of it and it'll be good, because the first one takes us 30 minutes to be able to catch up each other and make no mistake, we did like 3 mistakes and that cost times, so we'll take our time and make it Parallel as best as we can ok, so you'll have to wait!!!

The video was better than I expected it to be; if you haven't noticed yet there are almost no twin drift video's out there. Twin drifting has to start somewhere and it will be a while before people get good enough at it that it looks like twin drifting in real life. I still think the first corner in the vid was pretty much as good as it gets as well as the first corner with the AE86 and FC on deep forest. I really don't know why anyone would have anything negative to say about this. It’s a huge leap forward in GT3 drifting.

I don't know about you guys but even if I look at some really good single drifting, it doesn't impress me very much at all anymore. I'm always looking for something new and right now "twin" drifting is the only new thing in drifting since the 360 drift, and really to only thing that will impress me. Again, good job Night_drifter and Akina_86, I hope your vids will inspire more people to try to twin drift, and hopefully we will see some great results in the near future.

well its hard to find someone who can drift you know, because people who can drift have to be loving GT3, me and akina likes GT3 so much, thats the only game we play and practice all the time, i dont know but if i buy a game (racing game) that doesnt handle like GT3 then i trade it back or trade for something to my lilo bro, cause GT3 has everything!!!!!!!! but finding a friend is hard, but just have to ask who plays GT3 and teach them or they teach you like how akina teaches me, i didnt like GT3 but after seeing the drifting, i became in love with the drifting, so hope you find a friend!!!!!!!

Here in the Toronto area I have at least 6 Buddies who come over to my house to have LAN parties (i-link Meetings) but I am the only one who can actually Drift well.

Since I moved in with my roommate a couple months ago, he's become very good at drifting. We will probably try again now to get some good team drift footage, however there is one big problem with 2-player drifting in GT3 -- the game responds differently than in 1-player mode. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's as if the wheels aren't as responsive or 'alive'. It makes it pretty difficult to drift smoothly. I've tried it with other friends many times before, it's extremely difficult due to the way GT3 is in 2-player mode.

My buddy's video from a long time ago, "DC_Dorifto Time", features some team drifting with myself participating. This was back in the old days not long after the first Gran Dorifto was released.

do you know where i can see that DC_Dorifto Time. because i havent seen that?:D

I tried to find the site where it's on, no luck. Maybe one of you who has Kazaa can find it on there. The movie's original file name is "DC_Dorifto Time 512k.wmv". Doesn't show much of me but it's still a cool video when you consider it was probably the second one to come out (a week or two after Gran Dorifto, IIRC).
