Anyone else disappointed with the selection of cars in the new OCD?
As a casual player, meaning that I dont spend much time playing the game, I was really happy with the last batch because it gave me a chance to pick up some rare racing cars that I rarely, if ever, see in the UCD.

So, like an idiot, I spent some time farming Credits so that I could pick up some of the cars that were available. I figured out how much I would need to buy all the cars that I didnt already have, and just powered through races to reach that number. To my horror, when I went to the OCD last night, it had already updated, and was now filled with what IMHO are far less exciting cars; most of which I already owned, and no new seasonal races that would even make them relevant. Not to mention that many of the cars are Prize cars!

I know this is my fault, I should have bought them as I obtained the credits, but I was just wondering how other people felt about the new OCD selection?

You probably should have bought them when you had the credits to do so.

Just remember that the OCD updates every Wednesday +/- 24 hours.

I know, I totally take responsibility for that part. I was just a little disappointed that the updated selection has so many cars that are prize cars in A/B Spec. Not to mention that they are pretty underwhelming compared to the last batch.

I see a couple that I want in on, but for the most part I agree.

I was grinding for a while saving up for the FGT, finally got around 5mil credits, went to the OCD to get the FGT and saw all the RUF's, the McLaren GT race car and the Toyota GT One all sitting there. I couldn't resist and after going almost broke, I'm now grinding my way back to 5 mi so I can go get the FGT

lucky me,

just grinded to buy the last missing Vauxhall from the OCD list -
only to figure out that it had gone this morning :grumpy:

...

but then found out that it has shifted to the UCD :D

Exactly what happend to me aswell. Tried to save up some dough, but had to use most of it on expensive cars from the UCD. This morning I planned to used my hard earned cr. on the remaining 3 cars in the OCD. Tough luck.

This is why you guys need to start using the BoB (Bank of Bob), AKA: remote racing.

True story. I've had at least 3 million from people abusing BOBs. Get your drivers up and running. Although, the higher the level the less people want to race against them.

There was only 1 car that I needed from the latest OCD. :(

I had almost all of these cars, but I can see how peeps would want the DeLorean. They need to make a seasonal of those already where you can't go faster than 88MPH or something.

But I made my first monster purchase as the FGT was showing Green & White for me, so I got that sucker and am broke again. But now Bob can finally enter any event or I could smoke foos for easy money in that ride. (I am not good enough or patient enough to enter the FGT series myself yet.)

Great, I can't wait to get home and check the OCD so I can be disappointed...

See, my snafu is that there's only five standard cars left that I need that I can't win as a guaranteed prize car.
- I don't have the credits for two of them
- One is sitting in my UCD waiting for me

Oh 🤬 well.
Guess it'll back to building my account up to 20 million credits to spend it all on the Mark IV Race Car for me!

Peace...

IMO the OCD tends to be pretty good one week and not so good the next, all about making the most of the good weeks really. Managed to get a few decent cars just before the last OCD update, but not quite all the ones I wanted. Now I'll just keep saving until the next 'must-buy' car comes up...

OCD this week is terrible. 70's muscle cars? A bunch of cars you win over your A/B-Spec career? The horribly gimped Escudo?

Bleh.

Has anyone ever seen the VW W12 Nardo or the Corvette C5R in the OCD. These two have never come up in the UCD for me and they are about the only cars over 1 million $ that I don't have.

If you use the b-spec widget to grind all your bobs with a sub-account your ucd doesn't update so you never have to miss a good car in the ucd again.

Although, the higher the level the less people want to race against them.

And when you are using a sub-account for B-spec grinding you don't have to worry about being left out because all your bobs are lvl 40. :D

A load of American cars, but no Camaro LM :(

tbh at first glance it looks terrible but it has resparked my love for old cars

What exactly is there?
Not at my PS3 right now or I'd check. :(

Imagine somebody to spend an insane 5M on Lancia STRATOS Rally Car '77 just to realize latter that he could just win it. :)

Thanks for the suggestion, but having a mere four non-prize Standard cars left to acquire isn't enough motivation for me to go to the lengths of using a sub-account and widget to (I assume) build credits and avoid cycling the UCD. I'd actually rather expedite cycling the UCD, to create a faster chance of getting those four cars!

Besides, I still got much actual driving to do in GT5 in order to hit finish all the A-Spec events and Level 40, plus win all the outstanding prize cars.

Peace...

If you would have gotten into the habit of doing a Game Save every time you call it a night, when you opened the game the following day after the OCD had been updated and saw your previous OCD was no longer there you simply could have "Quit" the game and reloaded last nights Game Save with the old OCD and bought the cars you wanted, go back out and, on the safe side, done a updated Game Save with your newly acquired cars. Then reopen the game again and you now have the cars you wanted in your garage and your off and running with the new OCD. A 2gb flash drive doesn't cost that much.

If you're a car collector, pick up these out of the OCD, because you can't paint them. If you have the color of that car already, ignore it.

Chevrolet Camaro SS '69
Plymouth Cuda 440 Six Pack '71
Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 '70

Kinda sad the original Countach is now only available used, but the Chevelle SS and DeLorean look fantastic! :sly:

How can you say this is bad. I lovvvee muscle cars and i've snapped up all of the OCD ones I've been looking for

Imagine somebody wining it in a ticket 1000 just to realize latter that he could just win it :D ... don't imagine anymore, just look at me :sly: :scared:

I was in the middle of my collection of classic muscle cars, and was glad to see the XR-7
