Patch 1.11 wishlist

All of them great suggestions. The gearbox whine is too loud and overpowering, I agree. Might be fine with surround systems but not with stereo speakers.
If it's really the case, it means that PD's 2 channel mixing (compared to 5.1 or 7.1) for sounds is not optimally set up. A better suggestion for the next patch would be to improve that instead.

Yeah but like I've said, it's loud IRL so get used to it...

It's not always very loud, that depends on several factors.
Anyway, if they offered an option to change the final drive ratio only, that would be better. One could have a limited amount of gear ratio customization without the added noise, like it's possible to do in real life (actually that is probably the only option for most road legal cars in RL).

The gearbox section would have:
- Standard gearbox
- Close gears sports gearbox (with a longish first gear, and all other ones close together; 1 extra gear depending on the car, very slightly increased whine)
- Super close gears sports transmission (with a long first gear and all other ones very close together 1 or 2 extra gears depending on the car, very slightly whine)
- Racing sequential gearbox, fully customizable (fully customizable, 1 or 2 extra gears, full whine, slightly increased efficiency and faster gear changes)

The final drive section would have:
- Standard final drive
- Sports final drive set (a selection of 4 different final drive ratios, 2 shorter and 2 longer than stock)
- Semi-racing final drive set (a wider selection of 8 different final drive ratios)
- Racing final drive, fully customizable (including additional noise and efficiency)

And while they're at it, they could also expand the limited slip differential section, for example true 1-way LSDs, standard fixed setting LSDs, 100% locked differentials, etc. A fully customizable LSD should be expensive and a "last resort choice".

This. This is what I want.

this. This is what i want.

- When you equip racing slicks you get to choose what tyre manufacturer you want (Michelin, Pirelli, Falken, etc) and they have slightly different grip and wear rates. Also when equipped they're proper race car tyre wide, not the same width as stock tyres.
- More rims, both road and track styles.
- More RM's based on actual race cars...

The most wished modification:
NO MORE TRADE LIMIT!!!!!

I personally think that there should be an option in the pause menu to switch between automatic and manual transmission. Or at least the ability to manually shift gears (using the proper shifting buttons), even while in automatic transmission. Shift 2 Unleashed had the latter feature, and it was very useful when an auto-trans car wasn't automatically shifting down while it should.

^^ Yes!!

I'd love to see an option to reduce the volume of the racing transmission so you can still hear the car engine. I don't care if it's realistic but online you need to have the adjustable transmission in pretty much every car and it ruins the sound of them all.

5 cars:
- Audi R18
- New Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak
- Aeriel Atom 500 V8
- Lamborghini Aventador
- Nissan Leaf RC race car

5 Tracks
- Spa (w/TOD and weather)
- Circuito di Vallelunga
- Red Bull Ring
- Sebring International Raceway (TOD+weather)
- Grunwald

5 Updated Tracks
- Weather and TOD change now on:
-- Nurburgring GP and GP/D
-- Circuit de la Sarthe Old
- New layouts for Suzuka
- Top Gear Test Track now properly updates (no cones, totally open, correct replay angles, drag strip)
- Course maker track generation system updated

5 New Features
- Endurance Saves (works only when pitted and only in A-spec)
- Brake upgrades (steel, carbon ceramic, and race spec. Each with a unique feel)
- Youtube upload (take replay file and sends it to a server which then converts it. The PS3 does no work)
- Online open lobby adjustments available in arcade mode
- A party system (like COD or Halo)

5 Tweaks/Updates
- Tire grip levels adjusted (mostly for racing tires)
- Various car specific performance issues fixed
- Improved AI
- Improved FFB for all wheels
- Drafting fixed

That is my list of five things of five things that need to be in GT5's next update.

5 cars:
- Audi R18
- New Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak
- Aeriel Atom 500 V8
- Lamborghini Aventador
- Nissan Leaf RC race car
i would like to include the ultimate aero and ultimate aero 2, koenigsegg (if they could ever get the rights), and earlier (better) ferrari models to this list

Why the ultimate aero? That thing is ugly. :yuck:

I'm still wishing for seasonal events to have an online mode. :)

What i'm really waiting for (apart from the save option in endurance races) is the possibility to save setups and maybe have the opportunity to add a little text to describe it.

Also something i guess we'll never see in GT5 : the possibility to setup the car during a pit stop. It may add an extra 5 minutes to the pit stop but it would be great. At least the endurance race could be les boring if we could spend the time of the race to juste setup a car to perfection.

- Bring back old GT4 tracks (at least a "best of").

- New premiums (brand new ones plus updated "classic" standards like - but not exclusively - the ones currently in the OCD).

- New tracks! (I don't need to list them!:D)

- A more comprehensive collection of Tuning parts such as brake upgrades (complete sets or individual upgrades like fade-free ceramic discs or new pads), more engine upgrades like high-performance camshafts, new pistons, etc.

- The ability to chose the number of opponents in Arcade Mode.

- Make the track menu and the Arcade Only car menu more user friendly (it's annoying scrolling through all those cars looking for the Golf GTI, for instance.)

- Top Gear Time Trials

What do you guys think?

here is an idea 💡 if they made a update to add some of the classic tracks. for example, mid field, super speedway, apricot, test track, smokey mountain, etc and change wheels on standard cars. are there any classic tracks i missed?

actually a really nice thing would be for Sony (little off topic) to make a converter to let you use a ps2 controller on a PS3 via USB (i bought a expensive PS2 steering wheel for gt4 and wanna use it on gt5)

- add Indy cars (including some old ones)

- in race Endurance game saves

- cockpit shake reducing dial

- wheels for all cars

- a 'create your own' race. you pick the cars, track, laps, weather, etc.

- HOOD VIEW for every car!

There are a few (very few!) that already have it, they should add it for every car... it's so easy, so that they shouldn't have to work day and night to create new cockpits. Just a hood view, so that we can drive standard cars with a wheel without feeling like sitting on the top of the car!

El Capitan, Citta di Aria, Amalfi Coast, Seattle, NYC, HK, etc...

Besides bringing back all the classic GT tracks, PD should create a longer London track. Which other cities do you folks think should be added to the roster of city tracks?

More real world tracks, please. Spa alone is worth ten bucks.

IF they put tracks in updates, I want the Rome Circuit from GT2/GT3. Just played a little GT3 earlier and I loved Rome. Went to play GT5 and went to Rome... my reaction :(

I also hope to Spa as everyone is seeing. That is a pretty neat track.

For a new update I want all the old classics like the bel air and eldorado... A man can hope can't he?
