Patch 1.11 wishlist

I'd like to see a module for best (record) times for each race track, for example:

record lap time
record race time
most laps in timed races

and be rewarded with trophies, extra credits or extra experience points.

I'd also like to be able to take pictures of standard cars in the photo travel mode.

Why do people ask for more A-Spec, you get more A-Spec quite alot through the seasonal updates!! Where do you think PD are going wrong there?? It's A-spec, and they're new, what's the big deal?

Umm I take that also.

Greater control in lounge mode perhaps? Start a qualifying session when your friends are in with a format:
Time set session (upto an hour) perhaps set a maximum number of timed laps?
One lap qualifying
something else
Also if they could allow us to keep our fastest time and change settings that would be good. The race could then start straight after qualifying?

Perhaps set time limited races too online
Adjust tyre pressures
Replay controls
I remember them promising something about 32 players in a lounge at any one time, are they going to implement that?
Some old GT4 tracks like Opera Paris.

you can do this. set the grid start to the fastest. then after everyone does like 5 laps start the race. the grid order will be from fastest to slowest

The ability to buy parts in the settings screen is great, but once again it's been made really difficult to use. The visual layout is really confusing and it's a real pain to navigate in. What I'd like to see in 1.11 is button shortcuts for different actions in the settings screen. The cursor would only move to the icons and you'd select the action with buttons: cross for equip/buy, square for adjustments pop-up and triangle for description pop-up. The visuals should be improved as well to remove confusion: parts you don't own should be greyed out (icon and text) and all text should be on the same level.

They could use button shortcuts everywhere else as well. Especially helpful it would be in replays. I mean, they have a controller with loads of buttons. Why not make use of them instead of making the user go select icons with d-pad and press cross for something to happen...

I'd also like to see more online lobby options such as "stock mode" where you could use only stock parts and all engine tunes and weight reductions would be temporarily removed. Also a slider to control the slipstream effect, ability to disallow certain tuning parts, time-limited races, drivetrain restrictions, passwords for lobbies, ability to disallow ABS and filters for at least PP/hp&kg range, tyre restriction, race quality.

EDIT: instead of a 1M credit cap and 1 car/day limits on gifting I'd like to see 1M credits/day (or even higher?) quota with no limits on the amount of cars gifted.

I see patches bring a few new things to the game and bug fixes... but no new tracks, cars
If there will be any new tracks, cars then im sure we will get it from PS store(for me the only way)

I would like in 1.11:
More rims/wings to choose for both standard, premium cars
Save progress in endurance race (i completed them, but still....)
Possibilty to change/set time, wheather in GT life and arcade mode for each track

and thats it... i would be happy with that. so i dont expect new cars/tracks... but this is acceptable to do

tyres wear and fuel depletion in split screen...
in GT4 i did beautiful races with my friend with different decisions to return to pit...strategy...it would be awesome!!!:sly:

ALL I want is these three things;

To save a paused 24h enduro race
To FF/REW a playback
To be able to buy multiple cars in the UCD/OCD at once.

My wishlist:
Now that Sony PSN is back, Kaz can commit to releasing updated content Monthly as promised long ago. I don't care anymore for specific features, other than continued commitment in supporting this fine game. We get what we get.

I would like to see a track area/tarmac for tuning. Things to include would be a large circle for tuning ultimate understeer/oversteer, a 60 ft. slalom for dynamic response. Maybe a wet and dry version of everything. Corner weighting facility would be great too. These are essential in the real world and seem only natural in "The Real driving simulator."

I recall the "Test Track" in gt3(?) that was very long and alot of fun to me. I also recall alot of people bitching that it wasn't fun or whatever, but those were probably the same people that prefer need for speed. It would be great to have that again, but dedicated testing facilities for tuning would be a real boost and allow us subjective comparisons of tuning setups.

Also, race rules! Flags would be GREAT! All flags, green, yellow, blue with yellow stripe, and BLACK flag. Also, qualifying? A qualifying mode for online play would be EXCELEMENTE, and flags for online. There should be a way to let the forum leader select or be a race conductor that can oversee and issue flags, maybe with auto alerts for yellows and blue/yellowing lappers, and the ability to black flag anyone and send them back to the pits.

These two suggestions, subjective tuning area and flags, are essential to the premier driving simulator in my humble opinion. I bet Kaz realizes this and wishes/wants a way to put them in. Do it! Please?!?!

ok, small things that are possible:

The ability to change standard car wheels.

Add more events and especially special events that reward you with suits and helmets.

Bigger things:

A handful of new premium cars such as the veyron, all the new hot hatches (new golf, scirocco, vxr's, etc).

A shifter kart with a decent kart track that can have multiple circuits on.

Better tuning options (even if its only to add brake fade and the ability to upgrade them so they last longer)

And i knew it was coming my minds gone blank! haha

There are bigger things i want such as the ability to choose your engine size when buying a car (with visual upgrades for each engine spec and an example would to be to have 3 specs of the old corsa 'c': sri, ls and comfort or something like that with 1.2, 1.4 and 1.8 engines available).

Also alot of cars from gt2 like all those bmw's :P

Appropriate, mature approach. 👍

Still want me some custom A-Spec, however. :)

Edit: Also, ain't gonna happen, but I would really, REALLY appreciate some kind of tweak to the sound system. I really think the game's audio is rather exceptional at extremely high volumes, it just isn't balanced properly. For instance, tunnels DO cause echo, you can just barely friggin' hear it. Amp that **** up, PD! There's also been countless instances where I've noted ZERO SOUND coming from my subwoofer. Just a simple "bass boost" patch would go a long way.

I can't see any reason why if a car has a model in both Standard and Premium guise there should be such a dramatic difference in the visual definition. Sure, there may be handling physics differences but the CG box that's been skinned to create the visual look of the car isn't likely to change that much.
There's same model Skylines, Mini Coopers, Mazda MX5's and many others in both premium and standard forms which are "drawn" so differently that they may as well be from two different generations of console, let alone two different games!

(Sorry, this sort of thing really annoys me, it's not like they knocked this game together in a fortnight!)

Three things I'd really like

1. Event Creator. Let people add the extra races and championships that they want. Have a formula that sets rewards based on field of cars and number of laps.

2. Endurance Saves. I won't be able to do any of the 4hr and up races until we get saves.

3. Practice option at each racing event. Why was this ever removed from the GT series. I think it's nice to have a seperate practice session as it is now, but there still needs to be a way to practice before each race. As it is you can't do any warm up laps in any championship race and that's just absurd.

Top issue for me remains the dual-physics model. I know it doesn't make as much difference with some cars as it does for others, but many of my favorite cars have radically different handling offline/online. Until they fix this asinine problem GT5 will remain on the shelf most of the time. I stick it in occasionally to run a car I like around a track I like, and then put it away again.

I would love to see them bring back all the old tracks and to start updating the most important/interesting/historic of the standard cars to premium, but unless they fix the dual-physics problem I won't be playing it even with new/upgraded content (fix the basic product before adding stuff to it!)

More than anything I want online team/clan/guild management including at least limited livery and the ability to see stats on members in team/clan/guild racing and the ability to have leaders, officers, etc.

Second, online league management to set schedules for racing, track winners, compile stats, etc. For example, a 'season' would be able to set dates for races as well as the rules for the league. Could make bumping/ramming anywhere from severe (as bad as the license tests BEFORE the last couple patches, for example, to no penalty at all), as well as time penalties and normal race parameters)

Third: event creator. Be able to make A-B on any track with some basic metrics. This would let us make 1/4 mile Drag Racing, for example.

Fix the reliability problems that came with the 1.10 update. Have had to restart the game several times a day lately as it freezes just about anywhere...

I had that happen to me on the first day after installing the patch, in the Photo album. I havn't had the problem since but I do get a failure to connect message (ID 2.12) when starting the game sometimes (but doesnt seam to effect game play)

1.ability to speed up B spec like in GT4. The lack of it in GT5 has to be one of ithe biggest failures/oversigts of the game. If you're gonna make us grind in B spec PD, at least let us speed things up, a failure to do so is not very "sustainable" or "effiicient" its mquite un-Japanese to not make things more efficeint.

2.more editing options/flexibility on course maker. If you're not going to inclide bathurst PD, at least let me create it myself, I have tried a number of time to create iit myself but to no avail.

3.Bring back the test course, so much better for testing and top speed than SSR7

4.THE AI ALGORErithm is still a sloppy labia, it needs a better ALGORErithm to make things more competitive. Surely it can't be that hard to do a decent ALGORErithm
