Patch 1.11 wishlist

Here they are:

1. No more having to adjust how my cars are displayed every freaking time I go into my Garage. If I put them by PP/HP/Make or Model, thats how I want them to stay unless I change them.

2. Please! PLEASE! Let us change rims on standard cars. Its fine on a few cars because I actually like the factory wheels but some are just HORRID ie Honda civic (eg).

3. Also, I would love it if we could take standard cars around the world in Photo Travel. Its only fair :P

last but not least...

4. This is more of a complaint. You see... I've had my PS3 freeze on me multiple times during GT5 gameplay, more than I can count which is one too many. I found out the reason and as silly as it may sound :P its due to the option to make your own custom sound track for racing. Now when its on for some reason after a few laps it'll freeze. Then any attempts to try to play it again are futile because it'll freeze as soon as you gun it during the first lap acting as if it were too much for the PS3 to process, which I think it may be the case. As of now I only use the in game music but that just gets dull and boring. Why have the option to create your own racing music if its just too much for the PS3 to handle? Dunno if anyone else is having this problem but after much research on this forum and from what everyone else has told me thats the issue. Please PD, please fix this as I really enjoy listening to my Flying Lotus songs as I race, please /end rant.

Tell me what you guys think!

Thanks,

My wish's would be:

Some preset online race hoppers. I hated these in FM3 but it would be nice to have GT500,300, Touring, etc.

Leaderboards. Cause it says "Leaderboards" on the back of my game case.

Other stuff too. lol

I agree with leaderboards. Keep track of our online Stats.

More useful cars.. maybe more (U.S. based cars):sly:
An upgraded Paint Shop. Custom painting
more tracks.
more events.
Few More fixes and this would be a Great Game.:dopey:

I think the game has hit it pretty spot on IMO but if I could change a few things it would have to be that when you are searching for a room there would be a "Keyword" search bar that you could type in to help you find a room and of course change the rims on standard cars! :)

Good points already made, but I would like to add :

1. Give us a garage icon in practice mode, this is a no brainer.

2. How about some sort of global oil change its tedious to change 500+ cars.

I played split screen today for the first time and was kind of disappointed that it was just me and my pal racing. Would be great if you had the option to add AI racers to make it more fun and a challenge

...eh I dont mind changing oil to individual cars. I only change the oil if I use the car so it doesnt bother me. Also this just came to mind, why isnt there an invite button for friends when your in your lounge? This has always annoyed me.

As many posted endurance saves would be great along with online leader boards. Also if they would remove the 20 million limit that would be great, or maybe double it to 40 million.

I think a good one would be that you pit crew should also gain exp points and level up, which will affect how fast they fuel your car, change tires and finish. On that note, they should also incorporate more action to the pit crew, like cleaning your windshield and headlamps (if you were on an endurance races, like 24 hrs on le mans), fix your car when you get in an accident, and even allow you to make ajustments when you go into the pits during the race, like aerodynamics or suspension setups. Of course more premium cars and more tracks are a must, but i think, in my opinion, its all in the details. and i think a more realistic acting pit crew would be great to add that extra touch of realism in GT5.

Ability to Purchase Suits, Helmets, Horns, and Paints. Just to mess with the people in the Marketplace ;)

But seriously, I want to have my whole team dressed like... well, a team. It's really hard when you only get one type of each suit unless you do the same event constantly. Same with paint.

Specific limits on car type in lobby. Yes, I know you can de-tune your X2010 to meet the power regulation, or your group C car, but what I really wanted was people to just use regular LMP cars...

Make it so i can run a Ferrari F2007/F10 vs FGT race. This should be a given, in my eyes.

And put the Numbers and Class tags back on the R10.

Telemetry. It's there during the race- why in the world can't we check out our section and lap times after?

Hood cam.

Ability to relocate and change the style of HUD. Give us options please.

Event Synthesizer? (like gt2)

MORE A.I. improvements. Update 1.10 was a good step, can we make them smoother and faster in the turns?

👍

I don't know if you realized this, but most standard cars look absolutely terrible. The engine lid on the first gen MR2 appears to be done by memory from someone who has seen that car once. The F-150 SVT isn't even PS2 quality, and if you put pretty much any standard car in a premium environment (or put highly detailed wheels on them) it won't work. My wish list? Start offering premium cars for download, as even the new ones in the game are already a couple years old at this point. Plus...

-How about converting more standard to premium?
-How about (team) livery?
-How about making an actual racing team with your buddies and have your winnings be the average between you and your teammates?
-Why no customizable online tournaments? I should be able to set up my own race series and keep points like offline tournaments. Do a bunch of five lap races as a one night tournament, or subscribe to a full season tournament of long races. Who says it all has to be done in one night? This would really make the team thing shine.
-More styling options? I'm sick of everyone having the same car with the only potential variations being color and a carbon hood.
-A REAL track maker. Have a downloadable program you can use with your computer or PS3 and upload into GT5 for making custom courses.
-Realistic tire wear. Hard compound tires do NOT wear out that fast.
-A drag strip.
-Realistic shifting time. If you gear a car low enough with the drivetrain upgrades and watch the shift pattern, you can be two gears behind at times.
-Tire width.
-A virtual garage.
-Smooth shadows and smoke effects.
-A rally mode that makes sense.
-Realistic suspension settings.

That was just off the top of my head. I'm sure I'll think of more later tonight.

Edit:

-Revise the turbo system. I should be able to buy my one shot kit, but I should also be able to use different size compressors, possibly twin turbo, and adjust boost. And you can turbocharge ANY car you want. It's not like a supercharger where you need something very specific for your engine.

There's a bunch more things, but I guess what it comes down to is there isn't enough customization, not enough tuning, and not enough cars worth doing it to. There aren't enough features online, and there aren't enough races offline. It's too clumsy to race with human opponents, and too easy to win against AI opponents. There are a lot of things in this game, but few of them are done well.

I would take a game with 100 really high quality cars, super in-depth tuning/customization, an amazing online/friends system, good damage modeling and comparable physics over GT5 at this point. I really want that to change, but it's the truth.

-A drag strip
-Wheel Spacers
-Ability to put the top down on convertibles, cabriolets, and roadsters

-(obviously) Garage icon in practice mode
-(random) Ability to be driving with a babe, like Outrun.
-Premium Corolla AE86!!!!!
-Ability to have pedestrian traffic on SSR7
-Premium Odyssey
-Better damage moldings
-Twin Turbochargers

-Porsches
-A HUGE skidpad
-Rain or snow at any track

that's about it

MORE UNIQUE PREMIUM CARS!

I've said it before and I will say it again. Two premium Golf MK IV '01, chrome or stealth verions of everything, 5 (I am just making numbers up here) identical stock cars that differ in paint schemes and no DeLorean?! Premium two identical Suzuki Swifts and no RUF?! Premium Daihatsu and no classics? Dozens of premium S2000s, Skylines, Imprezas and no Karman Ghia? What kind of teenage schoolgirl's nightmare is this? Get your act together PD! I bought GT5 together with Midnight Club LA and cars on the second one make up for its arcadiness.

Need for Speed 1 gave me cockpit view, Test Drive gave me cockpit view, damn, Street Rod gave me cockpit view. When I sit in my car I am in a cockpit view, but whe I want to race in Japan Classics race pre '79 (5th race for beginners I believe) I get to see road under my chin or the back of my car. Is it Gran Turismo 2 on PS1? Are we in the 90's again (I am being melodramatic here)?

Just fix the glitch that means I haven't been able to do any seasonals since updating to 1.10 and 3.65 would do me at the moment

I just get the car carrying on to drive round after the race and not going to end of race/money/xp screens

So if anyone from PD is reading :sly:

Apart from that GT is pretty sweet at the moment

Car level tickets and 1000 tickets, for car that you dont have. An option that asks you that you already have that car, would you like another one. The saving and deleting your game save to get the right car just doesnt apeel to me...

My wishes:

1. Variable HUD---> I really hate the complete List on the right (please let us unshow it)
2. The "paint-squares" are totally not showing the "real" colour
=> change that so you can choose your colour better

3. Change the preview of the repainting. Let us see the final view on the Car not on that little spinning thing.
4. Paint-shop where you can buy certain paintchips or let us use the chips infinite.

Those are things which are doable and not too big of a Deal. Standards in Photomode ? or Rims on standards ??
Really ?? this is far off doability. And PD (or Kaz) has said why they did not do both above things.

-game save

-more types of brakes you can buy like sport brake or carbon filbert brakes

-difference races you can win racing gear item.

- more accurate and realistic exhaust sounds (Premium cars first, then the standards)
- fully customize transmission "whine" noise a bit quieter
- turbo blow off variation sounds (the actuall sounds exactly like the one from GT2, absolutly no improvement here)
- maybe a a-spec/b-spec crossover for endurance races

RMs for more cars

Bring back the arcade system of GT4. I hate it you have to favorite the cars you want to use in arcade ::grumpy:.
I would also like to have a better replay system in which you can fastforward and rewind and stuff.
Maybe an option in which you can choose the time in the 24h lay-out tracks.
The test track from GT4 and the 400-1000m would be nice too. The same for the Citta di Aria and Costa di Amalfi tracks. Those tracks were gorgeous!
Also I would like to have the b-spec system from GT4: especially for 24h races. No way I'm going to race 24h all day.
And a last point of improvement may be that you should be able to photograph standard cars in photo travel.

Those are some points that really spoil the fun for me in GT5. The lay-out and stuff was so much better in GT4. However, in all the other stuff, GT5 is a much better game than GT4 imo.:sly:

Oh yeah, you should also be able to win cars more than one time.

The only thing i realy want is to be able to save in endurances.
and be able to start some other (online) race after that.
Not the way its right now with championchips,ps3 shuts down and you have to continue when u put gt5 back on.

Race saves on endurance's.
Brake upgrade option
Better selection of aero parts - PD there are more the one type of spoiler available in the world, not every car has to look like a shopping trolley.

But the biggest thing they need to sort out is the loading times, they are absolutely criminal.

Not sure if this functions as an upgrade per se, but having finished all previous iterations of this game to 100% (or equivalent), it seems to me that Polyphony have taken the greatest game in the universe and broken it.

Mandatory B-Spec, 24 hour A-Spec races (??!!) without a B-Spec option (isn't that the whole point of B-Spec?) and an experience points system? I have finished every race, licence and special event in A-Spec - all gold - and I don't have enough "experience points" to progress to the next race at Level 30. What's next? Rinse and repeat?

How's this for an upgrade, Polyphony? Next time, don't emulate an inferior racing simulator. The GT model of progression through skill was what made this game great.

Oh, and save games for endurance races are a must. You know, now that someone's made the retarded decision to include 24-hour A-Spec races without a B-Spec option.

My head is in my palm....

C-Spec/ Free roam
Premium Supra RZ
Premium AE86
Livery/ Decals
Traffic on the Special Route Stages/ Connect all Special Stage routes to make 1 track

Besides what people have put in here I'd like to see an option to be able to edit either the initial or last name of B-Spec drivers, plus a shop for helmets and suits.
