The sound through my Home cinema is feckin awesome! Have you got the home theatre option enabled in the settings? Do you even have a home cinema system? If your listening through the tinny speakers on my most LCDs then what do you expect?

My biggest wish is that PD add some Japan's mountains tracks for drifting , and Pike peaks for rally :S .

Did you read his post? Both games have inacurate sounds, would you rather exciting ones, or dull ones. If you can't tell when to shift in NFS: Shift, I suggest getting your hearing checked out mate

I indeed misread that sentence, je m'excuse.

I haven't played shift, but found that many other NFS (and other arcade) games have exciting, yet ill-implemented sounds. Not really bad and they give a great gaming experience. But it is totally different from the feeling of control you have in GT5
GT5 has accurate sounds, though maybe not to the point of complete realism.
The rest of my point is still valid though. It is hard to implement sounds that are realistic in every sense of the word. I still prefer the detailed modulation of the sound in GT5 over the slightly raw implemented samples of most other games.

There is nothing wrong with my hearing btw, on the contrary :)

NFS Shift offers alot of things that most racing games don't, like the scrapping and screaching of the brakes and the sound of things inside the co.ck pit other than the engine. The engine sounds are good to, but the only thing i don't like is the sound the cars make when shifting, but I'd rather that sound ever the decrease in speed when you hit the limit in GT5, I hate it, in some cars it slows you down by up to 15 ks and that is un-realistic, especially in a race car...
