I built an isolation/exhaust box out of 1/4" plexiglass. It came out really good, but having never worked with acrylic plexiglass, I did make a couple amateur mistakes, but just cosmetic.

After an hour running F1 2020 benchmark in ultra, temps stayed stable and the pc was not able to add heat to the room.

Fan speed controller. I've been able to keep it running pretty slow.

Side panel held with cabinet magnets. Not sure how the strike plate ended up off-center from the magnet, but works fine.

Interesting solution. Would you expound on the issue that this addressed? You mentioned adding heat to the room. If you could go back to the pc purchase, would you water cool? Maybe that would buy you an hour before the air starts getting warm?

That's a pretty cool! concept and I really like the acrylic box. My only criticism is the ducting - compared to the box it looks less professional. Have you thought about using hard ducting rather than that flexible stuff?

Just showing the above as an illustration - rectangular cross section ducting looks really tidy mounted to a wall and you can get all the 90deg bends etc you need and even flip between rectangular and circular and back again depending on your needs.

Anyway, regardless of that. Great concept - bravo.

It really doesn't matter if a pc is Liquid-cooled (like mine) or air-cooled. The same amount of heat will be added to the room., which is what I'm addressing. All I'm doing is removing the heat that would've otherwise warmed up the room.

I changed the ducting to white. I'm not too concerned over the appearance. This used to be my grow room, so it's not really seen by the public.

The new inline fan is so much smaller than mine, which is a few years old!
