I use winxp but I prefer to use linux for normal use but the programs i need for school prevent me from using it on my laptop. For graphics use, i'll stick with my mac thank you very much

I use both. Im not all into computers, all I use them for is the Internet, so I like Mac's the best. PC's get too complicated and have 8 gagillions of **** on them you will never even use in ur life.

In all honesty, I love Lindows OS. So I guess that would lean toward PC, even though it doesn't have the Microsoft label all over it. Suck it Bill Gates!

Yea I like PC a lot and I don't mind mac's as long as they have OSX and even then I still don't like them much because they are not compatible with anything. It gets annoying if you are used to using a PC then use a mac and you need a program you use on PC but there is no such thing as a mac version for it. I am on a mac right now and it is really slow and crappy but, it's a school computer so of course it sucks.

And another thing, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO USE THIS CRAPPY ROUND ONE BUTTON MOUSE!!!

Pc at home. MAC at school. I don't fancy macs. it's probably as simple as what I'm used to.

One thing about macs I like though is Itunes.

Who gives a **** besides a snobby minority of dorks who think the computers they have are some kind of status symbol?

PC for me.

Got nothing against MAC, but if you want the latest games, gotta go with PC. At least that's how it alsways has been, I remember MAC getting there version of Quake 1 after the realease of Quake 2 for PC?

Kinda the same with Linux Vs Windows. If I wasn't so damn lazy i'd probably make an effort and switch to Linux, stabeler platform from what I've heard.

i *might* be getting an iBook next year or the year after as a replacement to my ****ty IBM :D

An iBook? Those are the worst excuse for a laptop, oh wait, I can't even give them the respect of being called a laptop. They are just overpriced paperweights!

Ah, the joyful sound of closed-minded, ignorant, knee-jerk bigotry...

You don't. If you don't like it, buy something better(like an optical mouse).

I personally like both. However, since the last mac I have predates OS X, I haven't really had a chance to sit down and play with the new operating system to see if I like it. OS 9 was a horrible, horrible excuse for an operating system. It had the worst memory management ever.

I guess I like Windows because I am able to play the most up to date pc games that would never be released on the mac or take years to be released. That is the major drawback of owning a mac. There aren't any decent games out for it.

Although, I would love a G5 because they are super quiet. I saw one on display in town one day and thought it was off when it wasn't because it was extremely silent.

I've used PC's my whole life, so I like them. My family has always had a computer, and I have used Windows since I was 6. If your're used to an OS, why change?

I may by a Mac as my next computer, because of all the graphics and stuff I do now. That won't be for a while. I really may have trouble getting used to another OS, though. I installed Windows 3.11 on my old computer, and I'm still not used to the absense of an 'X' button.

I go for function over fashion so...... PC

mac has one good thing though, that thing is final cut pro.

I'm confused, how is the mac faster? because it has dual processors? well according tho these tests on photoshop it's not....

But an independent test lab's findings confirm that while Motorola's PowerPC G3 chips are indeed faster than their Intel counterparts in CPU-intensive applications and synthetic benchmarks, real-world tests show Intel-based PCs provide better overall performance.

The application tests -- using Excel, Word, FileMaker Pro, and Photoshop -- emulate sequences of common activities, demonstrating how the system would respond during typical use. One sequence, for example, consists of opening a file, inserting text, performing a spell-check, and writing and closing the file. Other sequences include chart preparation, database querying and displaying, and sets of image operations.

The bars show time to complete the operation in seconds for each test. Smaller times indicate better performance.

Processor intensive yes it's faster but once you take in real world applications that use more than just a processor the mac is left in the dust.
