If Sony had called the playstation a game or even simstation, it would have been taken much more seriously by developers and gamers and maybe gamers were more multiplatform users.

No way a gamepad driver could beat a User with a wheel in a Driving simulation game. One that required proper modulation and direct/precise and smooth inputs from steering / gas / brake.

Since the same wheels that are used on PC are capable of being used on a PS3 the point is mute, but consdering the PS3 has no real Sim game to compare with the likes seen on PC then its also impossible to compare.

This study has nothing to do with who are the better gamers. It is what is the more effective medium to play FPS games.

Swap the teams, and the PC players will still probably win.

This. ^

Reaction-times and control-precision outclass controllers/gamepads undeniably, and for that, they win.
(This obviously excludes 'vehicle' games.)

Not entirely true. If you have a device with slow electronics, than your reaction time can be superior but you will still loose when playing against a mediocre pc or console players whom has a slower reaction time and has a superior controller.
It's the same as Schumacher can't win because his car isn't good enough. Off topic but I want to explain with this example: during an inside racing episode, an F1 specialist said; put a less talented F1 driver in an F1 car and he can become world champion. Put a very talented world champion in an inferior F1 car and he won't even win a single race. It's the same with controllers you use to play games.

If you have a device with slow electronics

. . . which is entirely moot, since the foundation of the argument is that PC peripherals aren't devices with "slow electronics".

Hence, if you do have a device with "slow electronics" (whatever that means), like an Xbox controller, then yes, no matter how fast your reaction time is, you are limited by the capabilities of the input method. Just like we had all discussed.

What does 'moot' mean?

Why does Microsoft starts a project in the first place if DQuaN and you are right? I'm going to repeat myself; the article does say that pc gamers are better gamers than console gamers. It doesn't mention anything about controllers.

Maybe I translated the text wrongly (is that even a word?). Maybe Belgians/Dutchmen on this forum can check if my translation is correct?
