I have been fiddling around with the position of a few items in the HUD.

The item I want to move THE most though is the location of the proximity indicator arrows. I can't see an option for that. Is it even there or am I just missing it?

Cheers.

I guess just something we didn't think of at the time. In fact you're the first person to ask that I'm aware of. Are the arrows adjustable in other games?

Nothing is adjustable in other games

Joking aside, I know it's possible to adjust just about all things on the HUD including where you received text about penalties & where flags show up but I'll have to have a look regarding the proximity arrows (I doubt it though, I don't use it).
Don't they sort of float around the car to show you where your opponent is, or is that GTS?

I do know that if you hold 1 of the triggers it slows down the movement of the item boxes you're editing. Only found that out a few months back

The issue is that if you play with many racing rig setups, you often have your steering wheel right in front of the area where the arrows are. I simply cannot see the arrows because they are obscured by my T300.

Other games I have played recently have not had the indicator system in the location behind my steering wheel so I have not noticed the issue I guess.

I have the same issue. I just set the spotter up, and he tells me where the cars are. Yes, not 100% accurate for racing that doesn't normally use spotters, but neither is proximity warnings (except on a few race cars that are trying it out now). If you are prepared to use one unrealistic aid, why not another?!

I actually enjoy the spotter warning me, and I think I'm a safer driver for it...

I do use spotter as well but the arrows are a useful addition particularly in oval racing. The spotter is very much a binary system (car is clear or not clear) but the arrows let you see the movement of the cars around you. They really help you predict the exact moment when it is likely safe to cut in front of someone without causing a collision. By the time you get "clear" from the spotter it is often already too late.

Another thing which would help is if we could disable the look left and right animation as it makes it too slow to be useful when in close traffic.
