It's just my opinion, but I can't see any other way to somewhat restore some gloss to GT5.

I DO believe PD is still modeling NEW cars. I remember them stating a while back that the premium cars in GT5 are basically compatible models for GT6 (correct me if I'm wrong). And knowing that one of the BIGGEST complaints from game reviewers, blogs, fans, etc. is the lack of late model, desired cars by most people's standards. Case in point, Forza 4 has the Lamborghini Reventon, GT5 has the VW Samba Bus. Which one do you think most people would love to drive from the VW empire? I think PD knows this and are hard at work at trying to correct their direction. And, I think that PD has some actually NEW CARS as DLC coming. For Christmas, we'll have to see.

All in all, I'm VERY confident PD knows they've got to get more late model and desired cars. Even with all the glitches and paint chip issues, this is something killing GT5 and needs correction. Content baby, content.

What do you all think.

Another "I want" dlc thread? Could've just searched for threads that already exist...

Yeah, it does kind of sound like an "i want" now that I re-read it. But that's not exactly what I'm talking about. It's more of why like should they just call it and hold on to the new modeled cars till GT6, release 3 like with GT5P, go nuts and just keep cranking out car models like Turn 10 (they basically gloat over this) for DLC, etc. If there's a thread for this my bad and moderater, please kill the thread.

Basically, how should PD address there content issue. Spa and the semi-new car models is nice, but that's like taking a little girls doll, and instead giving her a new doll, you give her the same doll in a new outfit.

Agreed, getting tired of seeing 60's-80's cars that I'll never drive but only a handful of late-modeled cars.

Before it was I want this car in GT5 and now they change it to DLC and think it will make a differts. Just another wish list.

In my opinion they need more race cars

Theres already a billion exotics in this game. But only 10 GT300 cars?

To be honest, I like the samba bus. It feels unique. It's a joy, to put it simply as possible. I like how PD gives us unique vehicles.

IMHO, we could have less key cars, and more iconic racing cars and RMs.

With so many Le Mans cars, why not those wicked prototypes?

And some of the road cars they forgot about, like the Lamborghini Diablo.

Before release I was planning to buy the Diablo (road car) as my first Supercar, I thought there is no way they would not include it as we have seen a Muira, two Countaches, a Murcielago and a Gallardo however somehow they still missed the Diablo, which is still my favorite of all.

It's kind of amazing how many cars they have missed out on. I understand that some people like some vehicles like the Samba bus and what not, but in the hopes of reaching the broader audience, a Veyron Grand Sport would do the trick. I actually like driving some of the small cars like the Mitsu Colt and Suziki Swift. While they are fun, if I had a choice between them and say the Pagani Huayra, and it's a no brainer for me.

I just wish they would be more strategic with there cars.

Sort of. In my opinion, they need more Race Mod. If we could create our own race cars, that would lift the burden on PD quite a bit. Of course, this would require a Livery Maker... but that's what I want.

I want more DLC as much as the next guy (mostly tracks). Or girl. ;) But wanting the latest supercars for "gloss," I don't think Gran Turismo has ever needed extra gloss. I think GT5 has as many cars above 300 hp as Forza 4 has in its car list total, or more. I'd just leave it at "we love more cars!"

Me too mate. Just love the Lambos. And I really miss the Diablo. And while we are at it, why didn't they model the air intakes of the Murcielago as dynamic parts?

Hi Stradivis, as far as I know the cooling ducts on the Murcielago raise automatically when the engine temp reaches a determined threshold. I'm not sure if there is an engine temp variable in GT5 on which to base the duct animation on though.

Either way, I kinda want the Diablo too, although the Bug EB110SS is my most wanted car of the early 90's.

EDIT: Correction, They are deployed at high speeds. They could indeed have modelled it. :ouch:

The Diablo is the only reason i like Lambo's and why I hate Ferrari (read: I'm a Lambo fanboy). How they failed to have it in the game (except the GT racing version) is beyond me.

Btw Stradivis...you're Brazilian but you support Holland?...What kinda crack have you been smoking

They made RM(Touring cars) of existing premium models, i just wonder, why they didn't race model Ferrari F430, f458, murcielago, gallardo, AM db9, etc. Instead we get what some people paid for.

I'd love the diablo but I think they will only add newer cars from now on.

I once overtook a Diablo in real life with a Suzuki Swift...in a traffic jam:D

I 100% agree. If they incorporated tuning companies, like in GT4 but better, they could add their performance and areo packages. For instance, PD has close ties to Nissan. They can use this relationship better. Example, when you take a 370Z to the areo shop, one option is to have the NISMO kit available in it's various parts. Or say I take an RX-8 to the areo shop and the Mazdaspeed kit is available. If GT had Porsche, Techart kits would be there. PD had HKS, Amuse, HPA, etc. in GT4 but it was no different than going to the regular tuning store and getting the same stuff.

Of course real spec race cars would have to be modeled as is, but the joy modding a street car to semi-race or full-race is fun in itself.

I'd take a car count cut if I had some of these options available.

@Christmas we´ll get another 15 Japanese cars, only with livery and some tuning :ouch:

I bought the track pack and don´t feel the need to buy the car pack...

I must admit when I went through the cars in the dealers I was a bit disappointed, I already knew that there were loads of Evos and Skylines etc but there does seem to be a lack of iconic cars found in many other racing games.
However I'm grinding to get money to buy what I want and already have 51 cars so maybe I shouldn't complain.
Hope they take note for the next DLC car pack.

Holy cow!!! someone should let them know....💡

I just want the old T-Ford back.

As premium ofcourse. :D

Be happy to pay for it as DLC.

Cts-V 04-07 sedan 400hp
Cts-V 09-11 sedan 556hp
Cts-V 2011 coupe 556hp
Cts-V 2011 wagon 556hp
Sts-V and Xlr-V

Im a bit partial but they truly are high performance machines.

Because we all need 5 variations of a Cadillac.

You guys are crazy, thinking we need modern cars.

Don't you know that everybody who is cool wants a civic 1800?

I can't wait for the Yugo DLC! That and another hundred versions of cars that are out of production(S2000, RX 7, R34 Skyline). Woooooo!

Go PD!

I like the older cars, modern cars look too similar and aren't especially interesting, I think any lambo after the Diablo are wrong for example, 4WD :yuck:.:nervous:

But the choice of older cars in GT5 isn't the best. That's the issue for me. Why would anyone want to drive some 70s low powered FWD Honda? The Muscle cars are about the only older road cars that are included that are worth bothering with. Give me the Ford Lotus Cortina, Fiat 131 Abarth, Triumph Dolomite Sprint, Rover SD1, Holden Commodore, mini cooper S, Why do we have a Triumph spitfire 1500, why not the GT6?

My father is dutch, my mother is brazilian.

Back on topic, yes Dan, they open at a certain speed. Shame they didn't modelled it right.

I don`t like any livery maker in racing games.

I only want to race in offical race cars. Atleast PD added the option to race with "stock" cars only, so no stupid stage 3 turbochargers on race cars in my lobby anymore.

I want to race with a premium 917 with its Gulf livery and not in a Audi RS6 which has naked women on its hood.

What is it with all the livery editor hate. Some people have made truly amazing creations on other games, and have created real life liveries that wouldn't be possible due to licensing issues.

You'll never get a 917 in GT5 anyway, let alone a premium one.
