Why have they not fixed the peer to peer internet hopping for races?...It just took me 39 seconds to pit...(change tires only) on Barcelona and it only took others 20 seconds...Can any1 explain how that is right? Apparently I have to hop to South America and back to take a turn...needlessly to say I rarely have a good enough connection to catch the leaders or stay with them if I qualify well enough. 😅 why are there no servers close to Louisville Kentucky?

Pitting has nothing to do with connectivity. Do you have a replay showing this supposed differential in pit lane times? I'd guess you've either misinterpreted something or you've taken unnecessary fuel.

There are no "servers" at all, outside of GTWS events where the servers are in Ashburn, VA (and/or Sao Paolo for Manufacturers Cup events) for North America. That's more or less what peer-to-peer means - and there's no "hopping" involved, nor am I clear what you mean by it.

I think he means where the other cars leap forward and back, I've tried maybe 10 times to join online races outside of Sport and it's basically an unplayable mess.

No I actually pressed do not refuel. If I'm mistaken about the peer to peer it's because my son and I were trying to figure out why I have experienced major lag on this game for years. We actually just got all new internet equipment, I have a dedicated line for my ps5 and can't seem to figure out why I can't keep up with the other drivers. He saw online that gt7 uses peer to peer connections, I'm not exactly sure what site he was on. I've been playing steadily for at least 2 years, (I took a 2 yr break when gt7 first came out because my driver rating and safety rating dropped dramatically when I started playing sport mode) the connectivity problem has persisted. I have no clue what the problem is. Thanks for your interest 🙂 👍.

I saved a recent race at Barcelona where I actually got lapped. I was in the meta and from the beginning the passed me like I was in a gt4 car and they were driving gt3 machines. That's actually a new occurrence but it does seem to follow a trend... As I said, maybe it's an equipment issue: possibly my
Hdmi connection has a short, I hope not cause I'd really feel like a 64 yr. old idiot...maybe I shouldn't care but I played when I was 30 and loved it so I took it back up when covid hit and still loved it...thanks for listening...later...have a great day!!!

And may we see this saved race? It's very hard to diagnose an issue without seeing the issue.

This one could well be an issue with your control device, either not registering full throttle or constantly registering some amount of brake. Again, not possible to determine which without seeing it.

It's neither your internet connection nor HDMI cable though. These things don't affect how long you spend in the pits, or how quick your car is.
