Hello all,

I’m sorry if this has been mentioned, but the penalty system is killing my ability to improve my DR. People will bump or ram me off the track which sends me well behind last and they make it a four second penalty for doing so however their place and the race is not effected too much and certainly not as much as me facing the wrong way in the gravel.

Therefore I wonder if it would be more fair to tally the cumulative penalties at the end of the race and add them to their time.

It doesn’t seem right that when I get knocked out of the race by a dirty player, it should affect my DR

Still happening to me every race I enter. I Get penalized for them hitting me and no penalties for them. I've decided polyphony ( phoney) does not really care once they get your money.

I can see you're bouncing between D and C rating. I'm those lobbies mistakes are frequent and racecraft can be non existent.

The popular advice as you'll find on this forum is to forget ranking your DR for a while and focus on having clean races to boost your Sportsmanship Rating. Start from the back if needed, and get to the end of the race without any incidents. Once you start getting matched in higher SR lobbies, your DR has a much better chance of increasing.

You have to qualify better and drive faster. Your DR is an accurate reflection of your ability, even if it feels like the penalty system is cheating you.

We all play under the same system, and players manage to climb the ranks through performance. I recommend using the custom races to help you increase your skills.
