LoudMusic just sent me this link. It's some kind of Goddamned alien remote. Universal is one thing - it's nice to have a single device. But this thing can actually remember keyed sequences, which is nice, because it might mean that Gabe can stay married.

What's not to get? He has a whole mess load of electronics, each with its own remote. His wife asked him how to simply play a game and there were like four different obscure steps.

How about this ... guys like electronic toys - the more gadgets the better. Girls like simplicity, the less there is the better it is. Girls get quite annoyed by too many dodads getting in their way for simple entertainment.

Mmm..that comic reminds me I must get to grips with the programmable remote that came with the Harmon Kardon - or face about 12 hours of surgery getting it removed after the half finally cracks it and jams it in me.
 
I'd like to set up some nice electronics for my parents and make everything super simplified, but I know they wouldn't appreciate it so why waste the money ...
