Anyone have a view on the most perfect marriages in GT4, a particular track where a particular car seems absolutely at home, like they were made for each other?

The M3 GTR seems to revel on the 'ring, the stock Lotus Elan plus the Deep Forest is a sweet combination, and the Sauber Mercedes never feels happier than on the old Sarthe track. What's your favourite combinations?

After playing the combination for the WRS, I like the Skyline R34 '00 N1 at Motegi East. The nature of the track seems to suit the Skyline to a 'T'

I found that the RS200 Rally car seems to love the Swiss Alps. Don't know why, just does, lol. 👍

I'm having fun toughing out the AI in a stock M3 CSL at the Nurburgring, in the Schwarzwald Liga B race.

I don't think i've ever been driving around a track in any car and thought to myself; "this is perfect" - I can usually nit-pick at least one 'problem'.

Although I must say: When I first bought the game I wanted to purchase a car which would make learning the 'ring as easy as possible. I thought a lightweight car would be perfect because if I over-committed while entering a corner it would go around without too much fuss. I also thought it would slow down quickly if I needed it to...

I bought a Lotus Elise and it was a 🤬 disaster! It would 'float' all over the road and if it ever got the impression that I was even thinking about running onto the grass it would spin so I sold it and took a $20,000 bath....

I didn't want to lose another penny if I could avoid it so I sat and thought for a good ten minutes...

I knew I needed something heavy but that it would need to handle well too.
I didn't know the track very well so I didn't know how to set the car up - I needed something that was totally competent straight off the showroom floor.
I thought about the BMW M3 but i'm not a huge fan of those so I thought some more... Since it's rear wheel drive I excluded it - I figured an AWD would have to be the go.

I thought about a Skyline but it seemed a tad low and stiff and light...As did most of the Japanese cars I looked at. (I knew how well the Skyline does the 'Ring in real life but hey)

Then it hit me! The Subaru Liberty 3.0R! I love Subaru's and I really like the new 3.0ltr engine; It has AWD, it's a big, heavy sedan so I knew it would sit on the road nicely, I was confident of it's suspension settings and it looks good!

Right before I bought it I realised the Audi S4 would be even better - so I bought that instead.

It worked a treat! I highly recommend it!👍

I don't know if it's perfect but it's damn-near close.

'70 Charger in Seattle. It's good to throw its tail around those corners - looks cool in the replays. And, when I choose a black Charger, "Bullit" always come to my mind. :)

they need a green mustang fastback.

Ginetta G4 or Lotus Elan at Citta di Aria.
Mercedies-Benz 190E 2.5 evolution at the 'ring. (That was the most fun I've had at licence test)

And then there are combinations that don't work at all:
FGT at the Opera: No ground clearance + uneven roads + lots of rumble strips + twitchy handling + low tire life= total nightmare
Any FF street car at Suzuka: I really hate Suzuka, and I think this is why. With race cars it's almost tolerable, but I'm always afraid to fly off into the dirt, because that's what always happens when I try to drive a (any) street car on this track. FFs are just worse.
