can anyone confirm whether or not the personal back ground music selection glitch has been fixed? I read the threads about the glitch causing freezing so I had not imported any playlists to GT5, but when i saw that 1.05 included a personal menu music option, I assumed the glitch had been addressed and the menu music was just gravy on top. I've been playing with my selected BGM since shortly after the update, and have been adding a few tracks to playlists here and there.

then, about five days ago i started to get some freeze ups here and there, mostly between loading and race entry, annoying, but i could hit the ps button and go back to the XMB, quit and re-load GT. then three days ago, i started getting freezing with no response from the cursor (audio playing but no controls) all i could do was manually hold the reset button and turn the system off and back on. the freezes were becoming much more frequent as well, maybe one in three load screens. Then last Friday I simply could not get to "My Home" at all, after loading the game and bringing me to the mode selection screen the game would immediately freeze. I'd had about enough at this point and i Rage Quit. so after a weekend away from the PS3 and some cool down time, I decided to delete my save data and reload a back up from before the immediate freeze situation occurred. I started it up got to My Home and changed the BGM options back to standard. I only put in a few races so far, but it has not frozen up. any ideas? thought, comments? Anybody else not to keen on paying $60+ to beta test for PD?
BTW i redeemed my Chrome line voucher and installed the cars right before it started freezing on start up, I know the voucher is a one time use, so Is it safe to assume those cars are gone for good?

The chrome line cars should still be downloaded on to your PS3, so you should always have them, and if they aren't downloaded, go to your account management under PSN on the XMB, go to your downloads, and re-download the Chrome Line cars.

ah, thanks for the tip.

Are you using a 60Gb or first generation PS3 , they develop this problem along with disc read errors, then have you deleted any MP3's from your PS3 which were used in your GT5 music list as this causes problems as GT5 is now programmed to play the track which has been deleted and as such feezes as it can't go further ? They are the 2 reasons i know for GT5 locking up .. I experienced the same as you so i bought a 320GB slim and have never had it lock up.

If you have deleted MP3's try to unselect them in you GT5 if you get the chance before it freezes or reinstal them on the PS3 this should help.

I'm using a fat 80Gb unit (CECHE01) I have not deleted or removed any mp3s from either (race/menu) playlist, though I have added a few to both.
