Personal menu music problem

This is kind of annoying that I enable custom menu music from [options]-[hardware]-[Audio] and its on and im happy then I do a race go back to gt life menu and that freaking jazz music is back on!!! lol although i saved it. So I have to keep re-enabling the option to use personal menu bgm it's not like that with custom race bgm though once its enabled its on for good and will play the next track after each race. any solutions guys???
 
My menu music didn't "stick" last night either. It appears to have on the 2nd attempt though...


Hoping a future update will allow a playlist for online racing. The cheese d!ck music is unbearable.
 
Same here. If I set the play mode to turn on the shuffle it plays about 3 tracks and then switches itself back to the 'Muzak' and disables user bgm. If I turn the shuffle off it seems better but randomly disables my bgm...again!! Same problem with race bgm, although I only have that playing on the replays. Hopefully PD have noticed this and plan on fixing it in the next update, as it is pretty annoying!!

As for solutions, I can't help you there mate, I need one myself :lol:
 
My racing bgm never switches itself back to "gt5 music" it has been playing my whole playstaion 3's library of music sequentially since day 1 never had to re-enable it after a race or event is over but that that seems to be the case with custom menu music i guess they got to fix that?

maybe since this was just implented with update 1.05 it wasnt done properly

When it happened the first time, I was able to turn the PBGM back on. Now it won't give me the option. It shows a red slash through the "Enable Personal BGM" box...
 
my race and menu bgm switches back to default music to after the update and its random

hmm ive enabled personal menu music since monday

I played gt5 last night and my personal music was still working
 
I kinda doubt if this would change anything but I heard of some people clearing the online cache in GT5 and it solving problems... You may try that.

I haven't had any of these problems, I selected my playlist for menus and it's been fine since.

One thing that annoys me though, is that it skips and stutters a couple times before fading out when going to menus like GT auto, Tuning shop or entering a race.
 
I don't think Britney spears is compatible with GT5. Something to do with class or something.
I think Britney Spears compatibility is unlocked after all endurance races are done.
 
I think certain music is locked to certain menu screens, if you are in the Used Car Screen either online or offline versions it plays a specific tune, I went in and disabled all the tunes in the misuc options screen, but it still plays them instead of my music.

I also noticed there is a problem when it tries to fade in between tracks, mine glitches and stutters, I also get a stutter at the start of the race as it fades between menu and race music.

But it is awesome that whilst you are sitting waiting for menu screens to load you are at least able to enjoy your music.
 
Im getting this, ill set the playlist, and it will revert to GT5 music after a few races :/
 
same here, music resets after race or restart game :(
 
Mine always reverts back to the "Musak". I've tried clearing the cache, saving the game immediately after re-setting the appropriate things in the audio options but it always reverts back to the default. It will work fine after initially setting it, but enter one race and exit, and it's back to the "Musak" again. I would really rather listen to my extensive music collection .... please fix this PD :nervous:
 
i dont have that problem, my ps3 get freeze with my pbgm !!!!! help!!!
 
Probably an old question but can we stream from a media server?
 
yea im going to try to clear the online cahe to see if that helps
 
As of Christmas Day, the audio adjustment for personal BGM does what it's supposed to .. in other words, the problem of it reverting back to it's default "musak" after a race, is working fine now. I even exited the game and rebooted it to see if it would continue after starting over and my music was still playinng in the menu

EDIT ... False alarm ... nothing fixed .... just another random glitch. Went back to the default music about an hour later.

Mine does this, i thought i was doing something wrong! But maybe not in that case:/

What a shame, i love listening to Aguru etc from wipeout inbetween races even got a 'Driving music' trophy...But after just 1 special event it reverts back to jazzhands muzak.
 
My race music last days have same problem, everytime I restart PS3 its againd default music. I think I know why!!!!!! :) Try to quit the game and check all your tracks one by one, Maybe some of the tracs ps3 wont recognize, its "corupted data" or just Blank. try to delete those songs, I have couple of them (before that I had other music worked just fine), I will try later on maybe this helps. I think ps3 select this broken file (obviously it's not broken ps3 just don't recognize it) and when it happens he setups back default songs... this might be the case..
 
I never had this problem. Played all night tonight and never had to turn it back on.
 
Had this problem to, had a nice playlist setup, then all of a sudden back to GT5 music.

GT5 music wouldn't be so bad if it didn't play THE SAME DAMN SONGS always. And it's always that one with the singing babies or whatever that choir is "maybe it's just the way" KILL ME.

And why doesn't the playlist work in arcade?

Streaming media won't work I'm afraid to the guy that asked, you can only use a playlist and PS3 playlists have to be constructed from music on the internal drive so you can't add tracks from the media server to a playlist. :indiff: Would have been nice knowing that before I spent hours setting up a media server on my fileserver and adding a ton of tracks grr.
 
Is there a solution to this yet?

I have two playlists, one for menu and one for race. They are set to shuffle and repeat folder.

The race and menu music both reset to the horrible default music after a couple of races. :indiff:
 
yes, don't use your left-hand, you block the antannae, you bad people, and free covers for all!
 
You cannot run from the epically awesomeness that is the GT5 menu music!!!
 
The Menu BGM never lasted more then a few minutes for me, so I eventually got tired of arguning with it and capitulated.:grumpy:

Which is too bad... I had all my favourite pieces from the menu music of GT2 (epic) all ready to go! Good memories there!👍
