Im actually sad to see such attitude on GTP.Some people just don't listen to/consider explainations.Or the fact that this thread is marked ANTI 1.07 lol.Disappointment :(

Let’s break it down for all the narrow minded kiddies, cry baby, sissy, and skirt wearing goodie-two-shoes that just can't understand… or, the adults that have the same problem.

Does myself duping a paint chip affect you (considering that I would have to own the paint chip in the first place to dupe it)? No.

Does myself duping an expensive car affect you (considering that I would have to own the car in the first place to dupe it)? No.

Does myself trading a car/paint/horn/museum card to receive a X2010 or some other expensive car affect you? No.

Does myself having multiple accounts so that I can buy and fully upgrade an expensive car and trade it back to myself so I retain my credits affect you? No.

Do any of the above give me an unfair ability in a race? No.

If you answered yes to any of these you have some major mental issues. Seriously, what I or someone else does with THEIR game that THEY/I PAID FOR has or is of no concern to anyone else.

Don't forget the people that share one PS3 and have to now take turns with trading. This now makes collecting all the cars near impossible in any decent time frame. Aside from that, it’s near impossible to collect all the cars due to the amount of credits needed to buy all the cars worth 1 million credits and upwards. I don’t want to be playing the small amount of races over and over just to buy a car that I once could be gifted. Once buying it, doing the same races over and over again to buy another car… and so on and so on.

Do you enjoy driving around the Indy oval 100 times in order to buy a new car? Or do you just repeat the entire A-spec career over and over again?

If you enjoy doing that, good for you. I've already completed A-spec (minus a few endurance races) / Most of B-sec/ and all of the special events. I don't really care to play the game 50 times over in order to buy all the cars. If the game had the amount of events that it should, I would've never resorted to duping.

I sit and enjoy doing the enduros with an equal car to that of the AI. Yes i have a life before you use that pointless statement to try and bash me and yes i do go out. But, there are plenty of special events/seasonal events to earn you plenty of money and should really deter you from duping.

Why do i hate it? Let me sum that up for you in a short sentence. Infact lets make it a few.

Duping is the act of making a duplicated copy of a car you already own to trade with others for their equally duped cars. This completely negates the point of GT5 and past GTs where you are supposed to do numerous events in order to obtain your favourite cars. In Past Gts there was no Duplicating trick that i knew of and that didn't seem to cause anyone as much pain and suffering as it seems to be causing you.

I like to play through Aspec and Bspec accumulating my fav cars through having fun matching the cars of AI in enduros. As i said, i do have a life so if i hear that used in your next post i will start to think you don't read other peoples posts.

Obviously if duping is the way you earn cars in GT5 you have stumbled across the wrong game. How about you go play some Froza or MC:LA? This isn't how GT5 is meant to be played and PD are fixing that because it was a mistake on their part. And if that doesn't make sense let me make a simple example for you. If say, PD, made a bridge with a fault in it. a big crack that ran down the middle. Would you be saying that it's wrong of them to fix it because it ruins whatever you like to do with this crack? ok.

Maybe he does use an equal car,so don't wrongly assume.And the seasonal events are at most 4 million per series of bonus race,not even enough for example a 787b.And if ya have nothing nice to say don't say it.People dupe so what,big deal.Consider other's viewpoint.And besides,I thought you were "running with your flame coat" :lol:

Had no intentions to assume anything about your life. And as I mentioned, I've already completed everything in the game other than a few of the enduros that I don't have time for. Even if I did complete them, they don't pay very well.

Even if you gold every single event in the game, you would not be able to buy half of the more expensive race cars in the game.

Firstly i know what duping is, which you obviously don't. You assume that all cars that are traded are duped. You know what they say about ASS UMPTIONS
Why does it negate the point? Becuase you say it does?
It past GT's there were no where near the amount of cars as there are now. Not to mention the game play was so much longer than this considering the amount of cars that are in GT5.

Again... ASS UMPTION. I read all the posts in a thread i post in. It may take a while, but what doesn't regarding GT. I also have a life, and would love to collect all the cars before it ends.

Oh... so you know how GT is meant to be played for everyone because nobody is different from you? I like the aspect of collecting cars. Why would PD put so many in if not to be collected? Wait let me gues... so they have a choice? What to choose, My 03 MX-5 with 211pp or my Miata with 211pp?
The "crack in the bridge" is this 1.07 update. There was nothing wrong with the trading set up before. If there was a problem to an individual, then that person shouldn't involve themselves with that aspect. You argument is like swiss cheese... full of holes.

Another thing I forgot......I hate grinding. Many people here seem to have the time to do it.....but I don't. And most of the high value cars I have (that I love and would hate to part with ) I can't sell anyway.

Aslong as your having a job or have to attend school, I can`t imagine that your having enough time to grind those 20 million credit cars.

Ok, when I bought this game at the release day, my car whishlist looked like this:

- Ferrari F10
- Ferrari 330P4
- Alfa Romeo Giula Zagato blabla
- Ford MK IV
- Ford GT40


That makes about 80 Million credits.
Lets say completing the american championship event at indy takes 4 minutes (loading times included), it would take me to do this event 817 times, that makes 3268 minutes (roughly 54,4 hours) of pure grinding. That means, doing the same race over and over again for 54,4 hours. Yes, other events are no real alternatives. They take much more time and don`t deliver more money.

I once played Final Fantasy X. One walktrough, which included also all sidequests etc, took 90-100 hours, but it made tons of fun. I can`t say the same about GT5.
 
Right i'm going to throw this in before you hurt yourself. Trading, i don't have a problem with. As long as it is legit. Duping on the other hand? I can't stand. An about collecting cars, just ask Jey leno. You think he duped his car collection?

Comparing collecting cars IRL to a video game is hilarious, and makes no sense at all. :lol:

Jay Leno had all the opportunity in the world to make money. In GT5 we have a very limited/short career mode.

:tup:As far as I know Leno also dosent have a 787B,330 P4,GT40 mkIV or XJ13 in his garage.And he makes more $$ than we can dream of.

I think it's funny you blame PD for the fact they had to block trading to take care of people exploiting the game.

Let's look at facts:
1) PD orignially blocked game-save back-up's (obviously to prevent this whole duping issue)
2) People whined and complained (much like here)
3) PD saw a legitament problem with the fact that people couldnt backup a gamesave. So they allowed it (hoping people woundn't exploit the game too badly)
4) 1,000,000,000 X1 hit the market thanks to duping
5) Idiots start selling cars on E-bay
6) PD must stop illegal trade - must take steps against duping (Ebay's the problem here))

IMO - PD has bent over backward to quiet all the complainers, now they've changed rules so many times they've pissed off two groups (dupers/non-dupers legitament traders). You can't please everything and the system is broken, I agree with the limit given the situation.

Would you all prefer gamesaves being blocked again? But then what do you do when you upgrade your HD? Or get a new PS3?

There isn't an answer to this and someone is going to be mad - personally, I say stick it to the dupers..... and it that hits legitament traders, well, sorry - blame dupers not PD.

The fact of the matter is PD could have implemented this far better without resorting to such antics.And I for one am against the 1million cr restricion,reasons many posts behind :P

Lol - please. Not able to dupe (which you explicitly say you do) does not kill the game. Did you forget it's about driving?
