I think we may agree that having the chance to download the GT5 demo, playable at CES 2010, would really mitigate our wait for the final product.
Possibly the demo should allow to complete a lap.

I considered that many of us are saying that in their posts, but requests are not assembled so that are like little stones thrown into the water.
We, Gran Turismo lovers, are millions, even if we will not succeed it may worth trying to submit a petition to PD (or Sony).

What do you think? It may worth trying...
Using the mail from the PS3 may be an idea? We could use the same agreed mail subject in order to make it more organized. Unfortunately if we choose this way we will not know how many of us partecipate.

Maybe a txt file collecting PSN ID , fan site (GTPlanet, GTros...) username and nation could sound more as a petition.

Please consider that I am quite busy (work and family) so that if we proceed we should work as a team.

whatever we say they dont care about us.. They only thinks to develop perfect game yes its perfect perfett perfectttt.

I want CES DEMO badly

It has to be automated. Manual collecting of participants won't work. Unfortunately I'm not much of a scripter.

Isn't CES in the next few days? In which case, you'll only get it if it's already planned. Petition will do naff all.

If they have another demo already lined up for release then that's great but if not then they should just concentrate on releasing the full game. We've got GT5P and GT5TT to get by with for now.

evilneal,
It should just be a matter of distribution (more a Sony issue I suppose) because the demo is already built. The only concern may be the 'weight' of the Nurburgring track. Hopefully the whole demo is under 3GB.

I can't see PD/Sony giving away one of their flagship tracks on a demo .That's probably why the demo has a time limit on it

Of course it's under 3GB. I bet it's not more than 1-1,5GB

Good point.
In this case we could request the demo exactly as it is. Download size should be reasonable and no changes are needed.

Save your breath - petitions don't do anything.

It won't change anything...
PD has sort of created a monopoly.

Whatever they do .. Everybody who wanted it, will still want it ..
if they delay it 3 months, or 6 months.. or whatever.

I totally agree. I don't want yet another demo, and whatever they do, I will buy it. It'll be funny reading back when the game does release and everybody has it.

I have to second Zimmerd and Tokyodrift.

Good intentions won't get anywere in the form of a petition. If PD/Sony release this demo, would be nice but highly unlikely, it will be because it was in their plan.

We may yet get a proper demo before the game is released, just be patient.

That is not true. I remember a new article stating that they put damage in GT5 because of the complaints that it was not in there.

We all would like the CES DEMO but there is a big chance we wont get it. After all we are getting close to the full game release.

Is a petition really going to make it come out quicker? no. Is another demo going to slow the process down? yes!

I think having Sony to put an already built demo, on the Playstation Store, is a matter of hours. It's not involving Poliphony.
I am not saying to submit a petition for the final product.

I can't think how this could slow down the process.

It wont happen in hours.. it will need certain points PD need to adress first before sending it in for a certification process at sony's.

Then IF sony gives the green light, it would take two weeks before that could happen.. if they do not give the green light, PD can take up some more precious development time from GT5 to work on this demo.

I say screw the demo.. GET.. THE GAME... DONE ALLREADY.

I have a feeling they're planning to release some sort of demo on PSN anyway. If not then i've nothing to lose, i'll still wait for the game.

I dont want the CES demo. It's obviously nowhere close to the final build as the damage is still primitive if its even there at all, there are no rollovers etc

In the end you d get bored with it mighty quick

Id wait for a real demo, something like a full grid of Super GT cars with interior views, at some new track with full damage, rollover, etc so we can see what GT5 is really like

.

No it wouldn't, it would just be once again played and then people would complain again about not be given anything while they wait and constantly complaining about the wait.
Its an endless circle, those who complain will always complain, I don't feel they need their lollipops sticking in their mouths again, why bother?

I have the same view I did back when people wanted an update to Prologue - I'd rather PD worked on getting the game finished than bend over backwards for the complainers.

I'm personally happy with what we've already been given and I have plenty of other games to tide me over while I wait, GT5 is not the sole game in existance and I feel the quality is well worth the wait. I got over a year's enjoyment out of GT5 Prologue and that alone satisfies me enough to wait. I would play and enjoy another demo but I don't see the point.

I want the CES demo (without the 2min limit), it wont slow the development of gt5 since it's already DONE. Just create the damn petition and everybody will sign
