Petition to remove Copy Protection on GT5 Saves

sign me up, this is a ridiculous idea that needs to be removed ASAP.
 
Have you thought about joining Twitter and telling Kaz directly??? @Kaz_Yamauchi and tell @Sony, @PlayStation also. I think they need to expand the friends list to at least 500 immediately!
 
There has to be a way to back up GT5 game progress. One way or another. Of all the content in our PS3 hard drives that's the thing that most needs to be backed up.

How about wording it properly?

Can one of the future updates remove the copyrighted save game files incase of hardware failure.
 
Being able to copy needed. I have a couple of user accounts that I would like to copy my game save to but cant. Instead I will have to do all the licenses over again which is very time consuming especially if you work.
Another reason for letting us copy the game save is that My bro does not have a PS3 yet and wants to play on my psn id and its not something I want him dong as he is not as good and if he is online others will think I'm crap(proberly am....NOT!!) so its a feature that should be made available I think.

Selfish aren't I ?? Ha haaaa!!!!
 
This is one of the most devastating changes made to GT5! While I can appreciate the desire to stop people from sharing gamesaves online, I cannot understand why buyers are not provided the option of backing up potentially hundreds of hours of play through the backup utility. Surely Sony and PD can work together to develop a rational solution.
 
Count me in.

We need to be able to back up some how. By the time a new game comes out I will probably have gone through another PS3.
 
Yeah my PS3 got YLOD last summer and all my save games were in my flash memory except for some of them that are copy protected like GT5 which sucks.
 
I have a question...my friend bought the standard edition of GT5 but now he wants the CE so will he's progress in the game continue or he will have to start all over again?!
 
We need a way of saving progress! All your friend has to do is just add the car code GT-H!
 
Pleas remove it... after GT4 when I lost my 50% game save please remove copy-protection.

That what I thought at first, as long as they are the same version there are no worries. 👍
 
What we need is some sort of contact with Sony in order to explain to them just how important this issue is. It's the most important issue regarding the game as far as I'm concerned and it must be solved.
 
Woot! I'm one of the few who have had to replace their PS3's. My blu-ray drive went out, so I backed up my games and didn't miss a beat. This is a must have..

aBSURD ... in 5 years they haven't done a system inside GT5 capable to manage the standard "data" of the game .. ridicolous !

Only to have a business on the DLC ....

This is my last/final GT ... and the firs without heart ansd passion ...
i'm very sad guys ...

Of all the games that shouldn't have it, this is the one.

You could spend years collecting cars, which is what the game is all about after all, just to have it wiped out by a stupid power outage or worse ylod.

No excuse sony, get rid of it.

1. Trophies are separate from Save Data (wouldn't affect copying saves)
2. Trophies are PSN ID-specific (unless you were the first person to get the trophies, you wouldn't be able to get them)
3. Trophies are NOT retroactive (there is no other way to get trophies other than getting them in the game, the right way)

Not true
there is a way to swap specific data within the gamesave to make it so Trophies pop up, make it look like it's your save and ect.
