Ok i have an idea. Now most of us modest people at gtplanet love gt series and think that we know too much about gt4 and it isnt out yet. So have thoguht of signing this petition. All in favor submit a post with ur username or name or what ever you call youself and it shall be added to this list. The petition goes like this.

We the undersign petition to close of the GT4 section of the Gt series threads untill The GT4 title is ACTUALLY released!

Why close it?

It is a ridiculously stupid idea. If you dont want to know the details of GT4 before its released because it might "ruin it".

Umm isn't it the choice of the gamer whether or not they visit this part of the forum? If they don't want to know about or think about GT4 before it comes out they don't have to look here simple. So no I won't sign your silly petition.

This thread is supposed to be for hard fact, rumour and speculation, so, no. Don't sign me up.
 
Certainly there is problems with great speculation and huge knowlege claims from people who never played the game. Yet how would one gather so much info on something that doesnt exist? internet and forums of course. What was once a solution to our problems has become one.

This should be resolved internaly. Expres your concern on an individual basis agaisnt this forum being filled with garbage. Not going straight to the kill box.

There is no need for a GT4 thread Ban, Polce your own. know when to hold'em, know when to FOLD'em.
 
Sign me up. GT4 isnt out, too much talk about it, and it looks likes its going to bite anyways. 👍
 
No, this board in fact used to be called Rumor & Speculation, and that's exactly what it's for. With the release of GT4P, there is an actual GT4 title to discuss, so the boad was renamed GT4. All is as planned.

If you're not interested in rumor don't read the board.

There is some friction here from time to time, but you'll note that it centers around people who try to present rumors as confirmed facts or who refuse to understand that what is on this board is in fact Rumor & Speculation. It also centers around users who are so blinded by the excitement of the Internet that they can't see past the end of their noses, and they post incredibly redundant threads about old news without looking around a bit first.

Those users generate friction everywhere, not just here.
 
Well well well, someoen finally stepped up and heck everyone has a right to voice there own opinion... Now with that all said, a reply that most people should know by now goes like this.

If you don't like the GT4 section of this website, please save yourself and others the headache of posting ridiculous posts about shutting doesn sections of the forum, If you DO NOT like this section please just remove yourself from it, We are not holding a gun up to your head to read nor reply to the posts in this section. If you have a problem with something and Dont like it just dont post here in this section. Just like if you dont like a certain mode or car in the game, Remember, the game isnt just for you, which in this purpose, this section isnt for only you its for the whole GT community, This section is about the game, There are no rules stateing that a GT4 section must only be open after the game is release it is for the people who wish to talk about it, Wish lists, Pictures that have already been release, what types of cars and modes you wish to have and desgin layouts etc... Again to me if you dont want to participate in any of the activities here in this section just ignore it and pretend that it isnt even here, Like I said before you dont have to post here so why make a petition? If the webmaster decides to make a section for it then let it be, if you dont like it make up your own board and leave GT4 out... But please dont post useless posts that will clutter and that will serve no purpose later on.. Thank you

And yea this is all IMO so if you dont like what I said just keep it to yourself... once again thank you...
 
Well GT4 Prolouge is out. It has its own forum. GTP means "Gran Turismo Planet". A "Gran Turismo Planet" without a forum for the up coming game would be like Jesus Planet with no forum to disscuss his "so called" return.
 
So let me get this straight, you're tired of useless threads about GT4 so you decided to make another one?!

The reason I look at this forum is to find out new info before the game comes out. Once the game is out, I won't be visiting this forum all that often.:D

And you might want to take XPLOSV off your support list, read his post again.
 
Forums are here for discussions... before, while and after. I don,t see the idea of removing the GT4 section... there's been very good informations exchanged on this section of the forums. Just because there are new users that come in and ask questions already answered doesn't mean its a bad place.

As a piece of info about newbies btw, sure everyone can read... but have you given thoughts of how many pages of stuff is writen, and how much garbage is put together between all those informations... ? If mods would cut/past good informations into a readable- locked thread, it would make things a whole lot easier for everone.

Not everyone spends there time on forums, and haven't been surfing this particuliar forum for the past 4 years... so of course, there are informations hidden on threadpage 28of44 of a thread on page 18...

I'm sorry, but this Petition is a downright lack of judgment and insult to those who spend lots of time here exchanging ideas. If people don't particulary like GT4 comments or speculations... just avoid the bloody section and stick to GT3 and GT4P.
 
ahhh..I get it now:O ....but why in the world do you want it to be closed?...I mean pics of GT4 shouldnt be put in the GT3 forum...right?:D and there´s nothing "secret" being reveald in this forum..not that I know of anyway so I dont see why you want it closed?

Which means he's supporting the assertion that it's a stupid idea. Try reading his second sentence too.
 
I think in the GT4 forum, only mods should be allowed to post information. This will stop bogus rumours and stupid threads. But i still think everyone should be able to read it.

When i first saw the name of this thread i thought it meant that it was a petition to stop GT4 being released :trouble:
 
What makes you think the Mods would know all the latest GT4 news and info? Most of it is posted by normal people.

In point of fact, the mods are too busy, errr, modding to do much research about GT4. We don't have any inside information or connections with PD. So the best source is people like hondakid89 who can dig up good infoprmation and knows what to ignore.

I heard from some guy at Jesus Planet that he'll return on June 1st.
