Yes I know that. I wouldnt buy a GT500. No way could I ever afford one. I will buy a 67 Fastback and add all the body kits to it. Like I mentioned above, the fiberglass Eleanor kit is between $1,000-$2,000. Believe me I know everything invloved in getting an "Eleanor" Thats why right now we only have a 67 Mustang coupe instead of the 67 mustang fastback. The fastbacks are even becoming quite expensive. :ouch:
However I promise I will have one within 5 years. You can quote me on it too. :sly: 👍
 
Adding body kits to a fastback will not make it as good as any of the original GT500's.

All of the cars in the new Gone in 60 seconds movie were just regular 67 mustang fastbacks with the "Eleanor" body kits. I wont argue with you about this. Not a single one was a GT500. :)

Anyways, Im leaving work now CB, as soon as I get home Ill get right on trying to get the pics on my pc, hopefully with my capture card, if not then the ol digital camera.

I will say having played around with the photo mode in PGR last night, it is easier to use than GT4, but isnt quite as precise in its adjustments as the GT4 photo mode. You can produce almost the same kinds of results, but as of now you still can't save the pics to a memory stick :mad: Smart move there :rolleyes:

Yeah thats my plan. To put the bodykit on the 67 Mustang fastback when I buy it. We are just leaving our current 67 mustang in stock condition to sell it easier.
I will be looking forward to pics tomorrow. :)
 
I'll maybe take the GT500 online just for a laugh in about 30mins and see if I can capture some videos for you CamaroBoy so you can hear it and see it in action. Glad you enjoyed the video !
 
They use replicas in movies, so they do not have to ruin the original car while not spending so much money on an original. If they ruined the original car in movies, then it would cost more when making the movie.
 
Well the Shelby certainly isn't the best car in e-class online that's for sure but it's good fun. I should have a video up in about an hour or just over.

Down from league 6 to league 8 now and heading for 9 but I want to win a race in this car cause it's difficult to do. :) (benefit of playing for fun)

Yeah I like that too and that bonnet/hood bevel makes it fairly easy to plant the car round the corners which is handy as I always race in the interior view with manual.

edit: Woo yeah I did it ! Beat a pack of 355's and a Testarossa, that was a nice race, just kept my nose clean and my speed and racing line well planted. Video of the actual race incar and the replay soon. Hehe before the race I was called "stupid" cause I had a Shelby and then their was silence at the end of the race. lol

What do you think Unique Performance does then?

Of course, CB's way is much cheaper as UP sell their's for $150,000+ and even the GT350R ($98,000) and Camaro ($124,00) are expensive.

:drool: Beautiful car, this gave me a good chance to look at it up close. Not shown in the pics if you look down through the back window there's a matching spare tire in there and thats about all that you cant see in these pics.

DG that convertible looks sweet, and thanks for the Dazzle drivers it was just what I needed to get it to recognize it as a TWAIN device again.
 
Wow nice pics there GVan, I especially like the one of the interior showing the signature in Las Vegas at night. I also like the one with the Shelby and the Ford Shelby side by side going through the corner. :)

I have now compressed the video and I am now uploading it, should be about 15mins away. Man you gotta turn yur speakers up and listen to that engine, I just wish I had a better quality TV and capture equipment but I am back in the swing at my work and should be getting a nice wee bonus so maybe I can put half down on a nice 26 or maybe a 32" Samsung LCD I have had my eye on for a wee while.

Or was the window extra clean? :D

This is why I prefer Custom videos of games to Official. They always show off more stuff, much better stuff in games. 👍

I'll edit my post and let you know my thoughts.

It's definately a car I'll have to buy in the game, and I can only imagine any of my future races with CB will have him in that car. :D Plus, the interior is such a nice break from all the "gizmos" in the other cars. Is the GT500 the 2nd oldest car in the game behind the Miura?

Thanks mate, glad you liked the vid, there is also a GT40 MKII or III so that might be older than the GT500 I think, I would check but I have to crash now, I'm up for work in 6 hours !! :(

I think it was just where I put the car, there happened to be absolutely no glare or reflections on the window. It was at the NY suburbs garage, where you see my Mustang GTR parked in the 7th picture. It sure does look like its down though! Thanks for the nice comments on the pics.

I wish there was another comparable muscle car to put up against this one but I guess thats what Download Content is for :sly:

Your right the coupe would look pretty good and I have seen people do it on coupes but I will wait until we get the

Fastback that way I can build an "Eleanor" replica just like the one from the new Gone in 60 seconds. I love that car and I have always said I would eventually build one.

That was f#$% sick!!! I had it cranked up at work and I got goose bumps from watching that. Thanks a lot mate!!!!! 👍 👍 Congrats on beating the 555 and the Testarossa. Great driving too!!
That reminds me of when I take my real life 69 camaro onto a track and beat brand new Corvettes. Very rewarding.
 
I love it when my capture card works ;) Next up, Mustang GTR Concept, probably my favorite car to drive in the game. I would love nothing more than to beat a TVR Sagaris with it, I was keeping up with one in a one on one race last night, but didnt have the accelleration to pull ahead. And the other guy was really good and didnt screw up and hit the wall at all.

I love when it works too. Ive always liked the Mustang GTR Concept too so I will be looking forward to those pics.
 
Well then, when I head up there CB, I'll be extra careful and make sure I don't shoot towards the light (common habbit now) and make my shots clean.

I'll probably post them with my Ruf pics as I'll be heading to both during Spring Break.
 
ok...capture card isnt working again, It just stopped working tonight and I couldnt get it going again. :rolleyes: right after I took some sweet pictures too!

Sorry to hear that Gvan. Always sucks when computer problems happen. Im sure when DG gets his 360 he will be taking a lot of pics. Sure sucks you cant transfer the pics from the 360 like you can with the PS2 via the flash drive. Nice job microsoft! :sick: :grumpy:
Oh well hopefully they will release a patch to fix that.
