Here are some of my first photomode attempts. Mostly from my Nürburgring adventures. Played around a bit with brightness and contrast (all I can do because I don't have photoshop, only iphoto.) Haven't mastered the controls in photomode either, but here goes:

One of my favorite cars, and probably my favorite pic, Elise:

A few Auto Union pics:

A BMW M3 GTR at the 'Ring:

Good times in the Volvo...:

I'm quite new at this. Tell me what you think!

pretty good pics:tup: . Like the elise the best but all in all pretty good, not too dark or blurry. Only problem i see is the picture quality. When you save your pictures make sure it's at the highest possible setting.

edit* when uploading your pictures make sure to click the "remove size on thumb" box

"Great Elise Pic"
+ rep given to first post...

I love that elise picture. The others are quality but the cars shown aren't exactly my favorites. None the less, the pictures are good and I'm looking forward to seeing your gallery grow.

You've ruined the Elise with that ugly spoiler, but I like the angle.

Haha, "ruined". That's priceless

As for your photos, they aren't the best in terms of quality. If you look at composition, angle, and variation they are good. Make sure that you save them on Super Fine quality.

Nice...It looks like a bunch of us are getting into the photomode late in the game. Good start.

i actually saw an elise with that type of spoiler in real life, here in vancouver. it's actually not so bad. as for the photos, i love the third Auto Union pic. the 2nd row looks pretty good to me too.

Thanks for the comliments, guys. The spoiler on the Elise is there mostly for racing. I was also kinda trying to build my own exige, I guess. Charger 440 did the same thing...

Today, I did a few photo runs. I used the higher quality that you recommended and they seem to be a little better. I also found that washing your car inproves the pics. I'll just post a few, and some of the rest later on tuesday or wednesday when I get the chance and I'm at home.

Mine's Skyline at Hong Kong. I've been driving here with this car for a while. Also among my first drift attempts:

My Zonda 7.3 at Suzuka. Had to make it a "speed blur" pic because the dirty paint was really unshiny:

I also ran a Viper on El Capitain, trying to emphasize the shinyness on my first clean car pic:

I'm sorry. I couldn't resist taking a bunch of pics in front of my favorite attractions in my favorite vacation place with my favorite French car. I have about 20 pictures of a Clio in Paris. I am trying to avoid taking pictures of the scenery, but I couldn't help it on this one:

Enjoy:)!

I like the last two in front of the arc de Triomphe(something like that) one of the coolest monuments in paris other than the eiffel tower. it doesnt seem that big in pictures(does look out of proportion in GT4 though) but once you get up to it your like

Like the other pictures too. Never noticed that you can see the carbon fiber ground effects on the concept viper till now (probbaly cause i've never taken a picture of it in photomode)

Pictures do look better overall after you upped the quality. Good job on the update:tup:

PD did a quite poor job replicating "L'arc de Triomphe" into GT4. I think it is a lot smaller than that in real life, but that doesn't discount the fact that it is really big. On the inside, there are really fascinating sculptures and the like, none of which I see in the pictures.

I have seen the carbon trim on the Viper when I noticed a while back that there was a lot of black on the bottom. I assumed it was Carbon Fiber.

Anything else I should be working on in my pics?

Even tough you have a weird username, that viper gtsr shot looks sweet! 👍

Thanks guys. My attempt to brighten that pic forced me to bump the contrast a bit more than I would like. The stripe was much more distinguishable from the reflections. Expect another update tomorrow. I just got home and have a bit of work to do.

What's wrong with the username?

I guess it is a little unorthodox. It's been a nickname for a while.

Here are the rest of my Mine's Skyline shots from Hong Kong:

Enjoy. Please help by telling me where I can improve:)

Thanks streetz!

Here are the rest of my Zonda and Viper pictures. The Zonda is at Suzuka:

Viper cruising around El Capitain:

Like 'em? Anything I should be doing? Please comment.

That viper concept is just plain awsome. i really do love that car. also i like your mines skyline shots, good, aggressive angles.

i didnt know the viper had a cf front spoiler till i saw that pic of it from post
9. i love the last thumbnail of the clio from that post too. good work.

You've got a really nice start here. You seem to have a good eye for composition. I really like the Auto Union shots except they seem to be at a really low resolution. Other than that I have to say you have some really nice work here so far.

Those are my two favorite cars that I have shot so far.

9.

I generally figured as such, but it never really stood out until Santo pointed it out.

Those auto union were taken and saved in a lower quality. That was before I figured out that there were different levels save quality. Thought I just had a lot of work to to.

Thanks all for the positive comments:dopey:! I'll try to have more up here soon!

Gret pics all round my favourite is the Lotus elise one.
Good Job. :)

The last viper shot is great. It could use alittle more contrast and brightness, but the angle compensates for that. Good update 👍

Well, here are the shots I took of my Clio in France. You guys have seen one or two earlier, but here are the rest. Some are the same picture taken with a different focus/blur. Sorry if there are too many, I just couldn't resist:

That monument thing early on in the lap:

And the Clio à l'Opéra:

Shooting pictures at the Panthéon:

The start/finish line:

Last, but not least, l'Arc de Triomphe:

Streetz, I played with brightness and contrast on the viper pic and here is what I came to. I like it better:

I am now doing some work with a Chaparral and an M5. Expect those soon!

Does anybody know of a free photoshop-like program for Mac that I can use for editing photos?

I really like this update. I love it when people try to incorporate things in the background of the courses into their shots. You executed it very well. Your shots are very clean, crisp, and clear. Also the last shot looks so real from the thumbnail  Keep the suave shots coming man ;)👍
