Hey
well, I have a strange problem. I updated from gingerbread to jellybean. and most of the pictures don't show up in my gallery and if you look in the file on a computer they aren't there, but if you use ASTRO file manager on the phone all the pictures are in the correct folders and you can open them and its fine. there are also some pictures that show up in the phones gallery but not when connected to a computer. any ideas on this? I need to do a factory reset but ild like to get the pictures off before I do and I just cant access most of them. I have selected to show hidden files.

thanks in advance for any advice.

Only thing I can think of is to "unmount" then "mount" your sd card. Sometimes it doesn't mount properly after a new OS install. Try going to Settings -> Storage -> Unmount SD card (it's near the bottom), after it unmounts and say's it can be safely removed, reboot your phone and let Android mount your card for you when it starts up! - don't use the manual mount button.

PS: Is your phone rooted? Are you on official Android ROM or custom builds?

well most of my problem is stuff saved on the phones internal memory and its not rooter on official Android, updated through "sony pc companion"

even though its internal memory problems I gave the unmount a try but, no different.

I did try and find a file manager for android that is used from windows but most seam to be for rooted phones, anyone know of any that may work on official?

ah! I think I may have a long way round to fix this, using Estrongs file manager it can see all the pictures and videos and it has scared copying everything onto the hard drive connected to my router. should then be able to copy them to computer, factory reset phone and get everything back, thank you! :P ill say when im done if all worked

Good luck!

PS you can use estongs to send files directly to your computer using LAN. It could take a while depending on how manynpics, but its an option.

Just swipe the screen right until it shows LAN then search for your PC, then just copy and paste over :).
