 Further explanation of theme:
In the words of Swiss Legend:
"In your vintage shots, try to capture a vintage background. Please shy away from any modern place. You can use any location, but preference should be given to older looking locale."​

  • Winner will pick the theme for the following week.
  • Post your final entry in red letters. Such as “Final Entry”
  • A preview image may be used, but it may be no bigger than 300*400 pixels by either photo orientation.
  • You may change your Final Entry once. If if you do so, please edit your original entry make a new post linking to it.
  • Do not use an entry from a previous competition.
  • You may post one honorable mention.
  • Only one entry may be submitted.



Allowed Photoshop tools list:

  • Lasso
  • Crop
  • Clone Stamp
  • Smudge-blur-sharpen Tools
  • dodge-burn-sponge Tools
  • gradient

Allowed Photoshop adjustments:
  • Levels
  • Curves
  • Color Balance
  • Brightness/Contrast
  • Black&White
  • Hue/Saturation (you may adjust however you wish)
  • Desaturate
  • Photo Filters
  • Shadow/Highlight
  • Exposure
Allowed Photoshop Filters:
  • Blur
  • distort>diffuse glow
  • Noise
  • Render>Lighting Effects
  • Sharpen
  • Other> High Pass

[Note:No plug-ins for any of the above adjustments or filters are to be used]

What you may not do to a photo.
  • You may not alter the geometry of the car. This includes adding body kits, stickers, etc.
  • You may not add/remove anything from the car (spoilers, carbon fiber, intercoolers...not even if you use allowed tools/effects) RIMS ARE THE EXCEPTION.
  • Nothing from outside GT4 may be added to your photo.


What you may do a photo:
  • You may migrate wheels from phototravel to in-game photmode
  • scale (or enlarge) rims
  • remove license plates

This just gave me a brilliant idea! Too bad everyone hates to see zoom blurs :lol: I was thinking about something like we see daily in the imports thread with all the old Datsuns and Celicas...

The theme seems interesting, I have already a few ideas :)
 
I'm definately going to see what I can come up with for this, Vintage Style is a awesome theme.

BTW did anyone else find the S800 was the first car that popped in their head?

not everyone :lol: i like them, just not all the time, and not from almost everyone. though it would be funny for you to do the horse carriage with a zoom blur. i dare you :lol:

Great mood 👍, I love the repetition with the cars' curves and the arches behind it 👍 though it's maybe a bit close to the edges. Nice you see you around . :)

I almost took a shot inspired by that one, but using an Isuzu Bellet! Glad I didn't now! :lol: It works amazingly well as an entry for this contest, I'm glad it's on page 2 so it doesn't show up mine! :scared:

i'm gonna try and get some shots for the new comps tonight or tomorrow night.
 
Swiss Legend, that's an amazing entry! The side of the car in the shadow has such realistic lighting all over it! 👍
 
Oops I misread the theme. I thought it said before 1970 so I've managed to dismiss loads of cars which could have been eligible. :dunce:
Oh Well I'll stick with my 7, I think I would of chosen it anyways.
