Who cares who stole which idea from which person! The photo mode isn't exactly copywrited!
Agree but the same time I disagree.
Atleast they don't have to copy ideas.

By they who do you mean since a photo style mode was first implented into Sega GT2002? I hope then you mean Sega, sure KY did say he intended to include a photo mode into GT while he was making GT2, he never planned for it to be in GT2, but Sega impleneted the idea first as far as I know, there may be others. Anyway if it' a photo mode in general there has been load of games where you can take photo's of things, even MGS on the PS1 had a camera you could use, so who's to say PD or Sega didn't steal the idea from Konami? Theres no way to win the "they stole the idea from ......." argument because no on ecan give you a definitive answer to wo came up with the idea first.

Doesn't seem like EA are attempting remotely the same thing as GT. As always, we have GT trying to realistically simulate taking a photo, and EA just trying to make it fun and interesting for people who are time poor. Different goals, different means, different target market. GT has shaped a lot of games, and a lot of games have shaped GT. That's just the way things go.

hey in nfsug2 the cars have four wheels!!!! they stole this idea from gran turismo...
hey guys, this discussion sucks.
:yuck:

most cars have 4, spare(5?) ,steering(6?) as standard. no cars have photo mode as standard... bad comparison, try again :)

We have a winner, no one can argue this (well they can but they'd be wrong).

this was sarkasm, but...

...hey, both games use a 3D-engine, are playable on playstation, let you choose color and rims, focus on "not a ferrari"-cars and have a quickrace-mode. i think nfs stole all this "features" from gt 💡
so again, this discussion sucks :yuck:
