Disclaimer: Since this may or not be illegal, the designer of the cover is sololy respondsible for all actions taken against it. GTP does not endorse or support copyright infringement.

As a spin off from the Photomode ads thread here is one sololy for those magazine covers. Print em up!

Here is my first one...Sport Compact Car.

Damn, thats really good. I'm working on a Truckin' one right now.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't that illegal to use a real magazine in that content? :scared:

Either way they look nice. 👍

I'm not a lawyer, or even a law student. just taking an undergrad course in b-law offered by the commerce dept, taught by a former corp. lawyer and LLM. But, I don't think it's "illegal" in a criminal sense, but you're probably liable for trademark infringement, and copyright infringement, both of which are civil actions requiring the company to go to court to sue for damages (good luck proving them) or an injunction. Also, they'll have to find you first, more likely they'll go after the people hosting the pics. But that's no more or less true for any of the photomode ads being created.

IMO, the 4wd is the best one of them all.👍 👍 👍 👍

Thanks! :D I might try another one tonight.

AFAIK, it would only be illegal if you made money off of it.

That's actually not true. There is need not be a commercial use for trademark or copyright infringement.

But I think we've all had enough of the legalites/scaring people from creating some killer covers.:sly:

I would agree with dbartucci based on my (very limited) knowledge of copyright law. The issue isn't whether you profit from it, it is if the copyright is used without permission. Your profit is just one thing that will be used to calculate how much you get to pay them for your infringement, but other factors (such as diminishing the reputation of the company) will be taken into consideration as well.
