Maybe this is the wrong place to ask , i hope alot of you are reading this and perhaps you could talk about this here and there .

I was thinking of an online race event once a week only for the GT5 Photomode Members .

it is very nice to have you guys as competitors in the photomode forum but maybe we could have a laugh on the racetrack .

let me know what you think about this .

same, and themes is another good idea!
 
agree a theme is a must for this kind of events .

i will put up a Poll for a Theme tonight . let me know what you want .


any news for the events will be post in the second post .

and for those who are in a total different time zone , iam sure we can set this up so anybody can join the fun .

Maybe you could give out points for the best photos taken of it afterwards by all participants (judged via a public poll), aswell as the finishing positions in the race, & add them both together. That way, slower drivers will have a chance to get higher up on the leader boards!

Maybe yeah it depends how much of a contest we want to make it, it's more about the photography people not the racing I feel, the meets are more for fun, unless I've just got the wrong end of the stick completely with this
 
First poll is up for the dates . iv´e reserved the date for the next week end so in the meantime we can arrange theme for the event and "time- evening or not so other from diff timezones can join"

Okays well I think morning 8am till 12pm or evening 6pm to 10pm gmt would be good. As for a theme how about family cars / hot hatches?
 
Only two votes on the poll so far :confused:

Times that would suit me on the Saturday (the one I voted for) would be
12:00 a.m - 2:00 a.m
5:00 a.m - 8:00 a.m ( I could probably play in between 2-5 and 10-1 but I am less likely to be on during those times.)
10:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m
(all in GMT +0)

Hopefully one of these will suit most people. Including me :D

And as for a theme. I am thinking Australian vehicles :sly:.
 
I'd like to be included if there is space available. Friday I will be at NHRA helping a friend in the pits who pitted for me a few weeks back at Laguna Seca, but Saturday and Sunday I should be around.​
 
Saturday I cant do as I am going to London, so if it ends up being then, as the poll suggests it will be I unfortunately cannot make the first event 👎

Maybe if we want to be taking part put links to this thread in our galleries? Or link it in the competition threads? That might get some extra publicity out to the other photographers
 
well i have to ask Splitztrem to do so , i dont´want any trouble for going off topic in the photomode section because this thread belongs to the gt5 online gaming section .

i hope he can help us out .
 
I think there should be a few timeslots and shoots to cater for all people around the world (like ZEROX and I).

I hate missing out on shoots because it's like 4 am where I live :(
 
I am starting to think we should have two or three different times during the day for this so people in different time zones can still take part in this.

Also, are we going to let the public join in as well or will it be invite only?

I think if we want to keep it within the photomode community then it should be invite only. I agree with the idea of having multiple times
 
well i had a little chit chat with Spliztrem and he told me the same about the timezone , one for europe and maybe one for northamerica - aus -nz .

i keep the poll open until next week monday , and then the enxt poll comes up for the theme of the event , don´t forget this is not a photoshooting thread only we are going to raaaaaaaaaaaaaace :D
