Many thanks for all the votes guys!! I had taken shots of the 400R drifting a long time ago before but in yellow, and they turned out well so I figured I would go with what I knew worked. Its one of my fav cars in the game, plus looks great in red imo.

Some of these matches were really tough, the black battles posed the toughest decision out of them all for me. They are both fantastic. Overall I'm pretty impressed with all the entries. I am continually impressed with the quality of PMC shots. At times some look just as good or better than some 2.0 shots.

Ray: I'm glad you got a shot in man, I really didn't want to advance by default. I'm sure you kinda had to rush it seeing as you had all the "dre's", but I'm glad I got to participate against you. You put out some phenomenal shots.

Here is my summary:

First entries...

Both are solid but the black type R seems smoother to me...so thats my vote

Second:

Same track...liking the full racecars but the AMG and SLR seem really solid in my eye...thats my vote.

Third:

First shot has super hot brakes...second just shows weight transfer and brakelights..the first seems to fit the bill..thats my vote.

Forth:

First shot has a creative angle and is sharp..the second has a less "action" feeling and the yellow looks green so it doesnt feel like a sharp shot and seems washedout..I pick the B&W shot.

Fifth:

First shot has a creative angle and composition but doesnt deliver as mucj\h as the second.

Second:..this angle has been one my favs and this car is really crisp in photoshoots...great ingame blur here...I pick the second.

Sixth:

First shot has a great subject just a bit dark and lacking on creativity to pull off my vote.

Second shot has a creative angle and the yellow tint give it a warm feeling...seeing the landscape makes the shot...and my vote.

Seventh:

Im involved in this one so I wont try to pick it apart....but nice pic DMan!

Eighth:

The first shot is a unique perspective and has some exitment.
The second is a great pic but red in that area can suffer by the lighting.(2.0 would clean that up) It really doesnt have the creative angle to make it a strong shot on a static pic to win my vote...the yellow seat is my vote.

I really like this catagory because it almost straight from the game shots....and sometimes you will see shot that almost seem PS'ed...Great Job all...tons of fun.

Type R club - Voted for the top one because i don't really like how the bottom one looks. Nothing much more i can say

Black battles - Voted for the top one because the sense of action and because it caught my eye first

Night battles - Voted for the bottom one because the B&W in the first pic makes it look really bland in my opinion.

Drifting of the 90´s - voted for the bottom one because the top was just to blurry for my taste

Italian Power - Voted for the bottom because it gives a very great scenic view

Going to Beacon Hill - Voted for the bottom one. I didn't really like either of these photos, i just didn't like the top one a little more, lol

Spanish Sport Car - Voted for the top one. The same situation here really. I can't really describe why i voted for the top one, i just did i guess.

well, when i made my post when the poll just went up. we were recieving votes at an equal rate. i do like your picture personally, you would have gotten more vote imo if there was a better sense of motion.

Its a cool shot and the brakelights look cool lit up. You picked the harder version of "hard braking" to shoot. Its tough to try and show that the car was moving fast. The red hot brakes and the angle that they are visable has a sence of speed. From the back view you almost need every element possible to show it was moving fast, like Weight transfer, brake lights (obviously), maybe tire smoke and sparks. I think we had this theme before in the 2.0 comp and I used the volvo wagon to try and get the best sence of speed . The sparks were the only element I could come up with from a rear view to show the car was bookin.

I understand. In my opinion my shot could have used a lot more contrast, but I ran into problems because any more contrast and the brake lights would become pure red blobs. A little speed blur would have worked wonders too, but i wasn't going that fast so there wasn't really and blur to work with.

I would have never thought of doing the red hot brakes which i give brock a lot of credit for.

You know Vince first I saw your shot I thought I'm out of this tournament and I'm surprised to be leading this much. I like the colors and contrast of your shot, also it happens that someone is parking his/her Ibiza right across our street, and somehow you captured in your pic exactly how that car looks in real life. Maybe there would have been more 'cool' angles available, but as a realistic shot that is spot on. 👍
